Cuz game makers like them love to make you forget about it for a while and surprise at a random time. I guess it doesn't make the wait as bad if you forget about it.

I was hoping it to be like SSBM and come out in the spring/summer time, but it looks like we'll be waiting until the holidays with the way things are going.

That is true, but how much wait is to much wait? I don't want to developers to not release a game, even though it's done, just to build up hype. I do agree with taking your time, but if their trying to do a business stragety, I will not be a happy camper

Hm..well maybe but i would not think that about Nintendo sicne once they think the game is ok, they release a commercial, then they shwo the date of the games coming out, so they have extra time to tweak it.

This is the Biggest News about S.S.B.B. Yet!!!! If you look at the website for the game, it has a countdown clock. The site is www.smashbros.com/. The clock says 4 days. If you look at nintendo.com it says,"A major update is on the way to the official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website. Keep your eye on the countdown clock!" I have a gut feeling that they will announce the characters! anyone have any guesses before this happens?

well,I think its been way to long since the last ssb,i mean,come on!a game shouldn't take this long for a studio that is only known for this one game series.

And don't get me wrong,I love all of the Nintendo series,so much that I'm starting to get impatient with the developers.there already saying that MP3 might not even come out this year,and theres still no release date on Mario galaxy or SSBB.

Well,at least we have the new fire emblem to look forward to,since its already out in japan

I have just checked out that update, wow does that really say there are 3 days left until the website will open again? Amazing, now we might see some new things like characters for one.

HAL Laboratories (Makers of SSB) also makes Kirby games. They've made a few Kirby games since SSBM, so they've probably been working on them instead of a new SSB. But now that SSB is in development, I haven't heard much about new Kirby games (except the Wii one, but no info's been released on it yet)

So they like to make one game series at a time, apparently.

Well your going to have to wait a bit longer since today's games aren't like the games in the 90s. Today too much people (like you) are expecting games to come out just like in the 90's. Where a game comes out and the sequel for it comes out the next year. There's a big difference with then and now. We have advanced system graphics and game play in which makes it a hard time for the game developers to please the fans. That's why now we are hearing many delays in first-party games. (Halo series, Grand Theft Auto series, Mortal Kombat series, Medal of Honor series, Super Smash Bros. series, Street Fighter series*, Mario series, Pokemon series, Legend of Zelda series, Metroid, series, etc.) The reason for it is to make the graphics, storyline and any bugs that the developers find can be fixed and release it to the public as a great game.

So image if Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came out in the targeted date 2005 instead of delayed 2006 when the Wii came out. Would you be happy with what Nintendo had with the game at that time instead of what we have seen in 2006? So chill man, just forget about it and just be satisfied with what you have right now and wait when the games comes out. I'm sure if you become a game developer in the future, you will be hearing a lot of fanboys saying crap about your work and how impatient they are with your product not coming out earlier and taking more time to make a game than before.

Anyways, when the site opens, I could expect a some sort of news about some new characters added and stages included.
