My Gamecube's been acting up for a while now. For a long time actually. What'll hapen is that I turn it on and if, if, the the Cube reads the disc then it'll play for a while but then shut down later on. Odd thing is it shuts down but I can still hear the fan spinning.
My guess it the laser's worn out.
any one else have problems with their cube?

yeah my cube is goin on the fritz it won't read any of my discs

yeah my cube is goin on the fritz it won't read any of my discs yeah that's pretty much the problem I'm having. Still it survives for a good 10 minutes. Good enough for a couple of SSBM battles. |

good thing the wii is comin out soon it backwards compatible to the gamecube ;D

GCNs around the world have actually been having that same problem. After so much intense play, the laser device gets worn and stops reading the discs. As for the dying part, that's because GCNs have some sort of battery thingy in them that eventually start to die out. The battery thingy is responsible for the Animal Crossing clock constantly going and stuff.

Nintendo also has let the GCN die in another sense. Hardly any new games are coming out for it. At least there's Super Paper Mario.

Yeah my gamecube died it won't work at all but surprisingly my n64 works and I had it for 10 years I have a SNES and I STILL play Mario Bros. on it!  My N64 and GCN work fine, too. I guess I take good care of my consoles. |

I'm actually really happy with my GC, got it when it first came out and this baby hasn't done me wrong. SSBM is an awesome game, it's coming out for the WII to, right? Good stuff, if it is, just one more reason to buy it!

Good stuff, if it is, just one more reason to buy it! Yeah, SSBB is coming out for the Wii, then I'll have all three! All of them are good, but SSB will still be the one that everyone rembers. |

I've had my cube for ages now. Nothing wrong with it It reads all the discs fine and dandy! And i have dropped it a few times. Its probably the razor on yours is fucked. |
