If there is a god, which there probably is because the whole big bang and stuff is way too coincidental to be logical then he probably would want to experiment. And the whole bad things happen to good people thing is test in peoples will to carry on.

i hate anti Christmas people,we couldn't even listen to any Christmas songs at shcool because we had one atheist kid,i looked at the tracklist of the Christmas songs,they were all about santa or snow or winter,none of the songs about god that would get people up in arms.
hell i'm as anti christian as a person can be but i fucking love Christmas,its the best time of the year and if the atheist try to stop it one more time i will fucking kill them all.
the moral of this story,if you ask a person about what kind of person they are and the first thing they say is their religion,then they are a crappy person and you shouldn't even bother talking with them.
