I hope you all had a nice christmas and will have a good new year. today is history,Saddm was hanged and he deserved it.A murderer deserves nothing less.But what good came out of it? Everyone deserves dignity in death and not be paraded round like some rodeo clown, the trial was a farce and his hanging a sham. It sickened me. |

Even the Nuremburg executed got dignity in hanging. Would you want people laughing at you as you struggled for breadth? no you wouldn't. Also the trial was a farce half his crimes didn't even appear on the accusation list because they'd be embarassing for the occupation force. like the war with Iran where he used gallons of Chemical weapons that WE sold him and said that it be fine to be used to destroy Iran. The Trial was just an attempt to make us look good. I supporrt the death penalty but i believe you should have a fairr trial free of political manipulation and to spend your last moments in dignity. He got neither, and as for this "death is a journey" how is a statement on theology relevent to a debate on political intereferrence a moral dilemma's? And you are aware that the new government is just as corrupt as his right? hell the police force is full of militia with Sunni's selling weapons and aiding the insurgency,And Shia police have formed murder gangs they'll even kill fellow police men.,the Interior Minister has over thousand thugs from a Shia militia in his pocket right? and that the new health minister has placed the hospitals under militia control. And the new "guards" frequently kidnap torture and kill Patients and Dr's for being sunni. |

I do not agree with the death penalty,and if you want my opinion he should be rotting in a cell or in Guantanamo bay.But i am glad he no longer walks the earth.I agree with you that people do deserve dignity in death.And he had dignity in death.He still showed pride as the rope was put round his neck.He knew it could not have been avoided.He is gone and will never return.
It is just a cycle,he is gone,someone will take his place,they will die and someone will take that persons place.It cannot be avoided.

Dignity in death? did you not see the footage he was beeing heckled all the way through it by people who had nothing to do with him previously. The fact that we can see it at all is proof it was just a stage show for political means. Also how can you be against the death penalty when you just sung its praises from the rooftops? without justifying it? I'm only in favour of the death penalty if those 2 conditions i listed earlier are meet which in this case neither were. I mean your only excuse was "that he deserved it" that means a life for a life arguement hey? so we should allow murderers off the hook because there victims deserved it? Or execute people because they deserve it? how the hell are you against the death penalty? If you want my goddam reason why i thought he deserved it,then so be it.
He killed thousands of people and for what?.In my eyes if you take someones life you deserve the same.I only wish to express my opinion.I know we all have different opinions and i know you are smarter than me.I know that you have studied the matter,But i believe what i wish.I am only a kid,in my eyes he deserved it.
If you dont like it thats your problem,but we believe what we wish and i believe that.

I think that's because everyone's free during summer, while most people are stuck with their school work in Winter. Now, Let's make a new topic to talk about so it can become more active.
