Well, I've gotten to that time in my life that I need to get my first job. A whole bunch of things have come up that I want to get, and I'm tired of mooching off my parents and waiting for my report card to get $50 (as long as I get honor roll)
So, on tuesday, I'm going to look for a job. And the first place I'm going to get an application is an ebay store. There are two of them in my town. One is the more Sold it on Ebay which is too far away for me to walk to, and the other one is more of a smaller business that is right in town and its like a five to ten min. walk away
The reason why I want to work at an ebay store is because I an very good at it. I've sold stuff and bought stuff. I've taken the pictures, estimated a starting price, and ect. People are always telling me that I know a lot about ebay, and I guess I do.
So, while I'm waiting until tuesday comes for me to get the application, anyone here know how these stores are? Like has anyone worked at one or know anyone that does or did. I'm just doing a little reasearch is all..
This is also a pre-warning that starting on tuesday, I'm not going to be on as much because I start school on that day. I'll still come on here and do my modding jobs, but I wont be on until after school, which will be around 2:45 to 3:00.

Whoa. Wish my...town(?) wasn't small. The only place I would have to work is my dad's business. I don't know much about those stores except that 40-year-old virgins are attracted to them.

I've seen some of those stores around but I haven't actually been in one. I think that's a good first job especially since it's something you're good at and you like.

Wow, I didn't know Ebay had stores! I always thought that it was just an internet thing. I've never seen any around where I live anyways.. o.o Sounds interesting though, I'd give it a shot if I were you. It's good to have a job where you know what you're doing.

They're not ebay stores, they're busnesses that sell stuff for other people on ebay. They are in no way related to the actual ebay other than where they sell stuff.

Actually that sounds kind of like what my boyfriend used to do. Him and his brother had this magazine they ordered stuff from really cheap and sold it on Ebay. Then when the stuff got sold some of the money went towards the company, and the rest went to them. He told me that they used to make a lot of money doing it, too. Is that kind of what you will be doing?

The workers sell it for the most they can and I thinnk the workers keep a piece of what they got and the rest goes to the cutomer

Well, just as I though, I couldnt get a job there. Apparently, I was too late. They just hired someone around my age and if I came like a month or couple of weeks earlyier, I would have had a chance. All well, I can always work at my local A&P.

You most have a lot of homework and you spend a lot of time on the internet.

Lol How will you even have time for a job? You have school most of the day. You most have a lot of homework and you spend a lot of time on the internet. Well, I often go on the internet durring school because I have a lot of computer classes, so I can do stuff with my free time then. But the internet isnt everything, I need a job so that I can save up for things like car insurance and college. I was going to get a new computer but my parents will probally get a new one when windows vista comes out. The places I'm looking for a job at are within a walking distance of my house, so immediately after school, I go to my job, walk home, do homework (if I have any). Then I eat of course and then I will probally have 30 min to an hour on the computer depending on the times I get hired for. Also, who says I'm working every day? I might have to take tuesdays off because I have boyscouts, so I have some free time before the meeting when I come back from school. Dont you worry about me. The only thing that slows me down is computer problems and thats what is happening to me because my laptop's power cord got fried. So, I'm using my parents desktop which isnt always free. But dont worry, I just ordered a new power cord and it should come in from 3 to 15 work days.
