Welcome To Wii Together. Here you will find most of the unanswered questions you may have. This is a great place to start if you are new to the site.
(For strictly Wii-related help try Here)
Site Background: Hi there. This site was created in support of Nintendo's new next-generation system, the Nintendo Wii
This Site was made to build a community Not only based on the Nintendo Wii but on all Nintendo systems and games and even just to online and multilayer games in general. But even then we encourage that we talk about other things than Nintendo. May it be General Chatter, Music, or, anything else that we feel we want to talk about. There's an endless things to do on Wii Together.
Do I have to be a huge fan of Nintendo to join?
Not necessarily. Obviously a basic knowledge and affection for Nintendo is important if you wish to be on this site, but if you want to be on the site mostly for the General forums or the Music Forums, that is fine by us.
In fact if you are new to the Nintendo Wii and have a few questions we still would love to have you. In fact if you have a question on Nintendo's "new-gen system" feel free to ask us about it!
Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with supporting other Video game companies such as Sony, Microsoft, or another company. Even discussing or talking about these things is welcomed in the General forum as long as there is no "bashing", or speaking extremely negatively, of these things.
How Do I sign up?
Now if you have not signed up for the Site yet It can be easily done by clicking the link that is located at the very top of the page and following the instructions.
Then Verify your account by using the Verification code you receive in your E-mail. While rather tedious this Verification process is necessary.
How do I start modifying my profile?
To start Building your Profile Click on Profile located In the Header and then in the top row click on Modify Profile
There you will have a plethora of options for you to edit.
How Do I upload an Avatar?
For this forum you do not upload pictures directly to the site. What you will need to do is type in the URL to the image that you want as an avatar. If you want to use a picture that is on your computer you will have to host that picture on some sort of image hosting provider. I suggest: Imageshack
Once you host it just copy and paste the image URL location in the section of your "modify profile" that says avatar URL.
Avatars must be at most 100x100 pixels.
What about a signature picture?
Signature Pictures are allowed and should be no more than 500x150 pixels big. To have them appear at the bottom of your posts you must use something called IMG tags in the section that says "Signature" in your profile options.
You will have to have the URL of the picture you want to use for your signature ready. If you want a picture from your computer follow the same Image hosting method described above for avatars.
Here's what it will look like
Basically just type something like that into the text box in the Signature option.
I'm ready to start posting what do I do?
Proceed to the Wii Together Home and scroll down to see all the Forum sections and Categories. Click and post on the appropriate forum and get started. Just make sure to Read the Forum rules first and to post the appropriate post in the appropriate section.
For starters try the Introductions thread to introduce yourself and let us know who you are.
Are there Rankings for this site? What are they?
Rankings on Wii Together are directly tied only to Post Count.
Please keep in mind that posting on the Forum just to increase Post count and rank is not a good way to get a good reputation on the Site. The best way to do that is the quality of the posts not quantity.

how do I post pictures?

How does the site stay maintained/Who looks after the forum?
The Site on the whole is maintained by the Admin, aka: Me. The Forums are also watched and kept after Moderators or "Mods". These Mods have special privileges that may or may not include (but are not always limited to) locking/deleting threads, Making special announcements, and temporarily banning users that break the rules.
How do I Become a site Moderator?
This Question is asked often. But It's is a question that does get a bit annoying to hear again and again. An Important key to remember is that asking to be a mod lowers your chances of becoming one. Since after all, those that usually ask for critical privileges are not those that should be getting them.
The best way to someday become a mod is to be a model poster that generally posts and speaks with maturity and poise. If the need for more mods ever arises an Admin or a current moderator will contact you.
Is that all I could do?
Well at the moment there is not a need for more moderators because there is not an excessive amount of users in the forums to keep track of. The more members this website reaches the more the need for Moderators gets. So if you take the hint and get more users things will move along faster.
Helping out the current moderators and admins is always appreciated as long as you don't become pesky by doing things such as posting, "lock this thread now." or "this is spam, ban please". Basically be helpful but don't go overboard please.
Will the site change?
Yes eventually and slowly it will. Not everything you see on the website is permanent. Most likely than not features will be added and new sections will be available as time passes.
