I mainly mess around with Commodore 64 + Amiga emulators. I recently found AROS though, so I won't need to use an Amiga emulator in order to run Workbench on an x86

I try not to use emulators anymore.
It's not that I'm concerned about piracy or legal issues; it's that I really don't like using the keyboard to play games. Yes, I know I could buy a joystick, but it's not like playing it on the big screen with the original controller. I've played emulators a few times just to try out games, but nothing more than that.

I used VBA because my cousin gave me the emulator. Some of the games are fun like megaman battle network 3.

I used to emulate so much.. hundreds of Genesis, NES and SNES games.
But now I hardly emulate. I collect the real thing. I'm not far yet, I've got a SNES, 2 SNES games and a N64 game. But I've got a lot of money to spend, so I'm gonna buy lotsa SNES games and maybe a Genesis or NES or something like that.
eBay is your friend. Sometimes you can find Earthbound (OMG RARE) for just $20!! The game is worth much more.
I hope I end up with a huge collection of games for many consoles. Maybe a Virtual Boy or a Neo-Geo or something rare like that. That would rock.

I have some of them in my computer. They are games from Sega Gensis, NES, SNES, GBC, and GBA.

Im not too crazy about emulators, because first of all I don't even have a controller, and it doesnt feel the same lol... like on donkey kong they have levels where they reverse the controls, and emulators you can just change them back, its pretty cheap. I stick with the SNES

Never try to emulate a console onto a computer. It feels so retarded, and you usually die on levels that are normally easy to beat because the button config is messed. That may be true for some games that use a lot of buttons. But the simpler ones aren't usually that bad once you get the hang of it. They also have USB devices out that you can order online and plug your controller into so it's almost the same as playing on your system! The one I have works with Playstation1 and N64 controllers. ;D or you can buy a controller for your computer. I bought my ps2 controller replica from best buy for like 10 bucks. I use Znes emulator, to play some snes games. Chrono trigger, super mario rpg, and tales of phantasia. Emulators have some nice features over the real system too. In znes i have my r2 button set to fast forward so i dont have to wait very long through random battles in rpgs.

I have a blank DS card with a little slot in it for a micro SD card and it came with a USB device with the same little slot, so i bought a macro SD card to go with it, and I got NES, SNES, SEGA and DS emulators on it, as well as lotsa ROMs. And cool extra stuff like AIM and stuff.
it's awesome, my sister got it for me for a holiday.
Best. Present. EVER.
