Haven't you noticed a bit of a "drought" in new wii games. Yeah, the virutual console gets new games in it every monday, but other than that very few good games have come out so far. Wario Ware was a good one and it came out last month. This month is WiiPlay I'd probably only get WiiPlay for the controller, but that's just me. I know Nintendo is promising all of these new games, but they're not comming out until later. And a lot of companies that are making games are just waiting for nintendo to start the online multiplayer for them to release their games. Now nintendo has given out a thing (I forget what they call it) to all developers to make their games compatable for online play, so hopefully that will start in a few months. But for now, don't you think there is a drought in new wii games?

I remember watching AOTS today and they talked about this on the loop. I don't think there is a drought, soon there will be some good releases. Even if there was a drought, would you rather have 10 Wii Far Cry's now or 10 Twilight Princesses later? Next month you can't forget about Prince of Persia, Sonic, Mario Party 8, and SUper Paper Mario!

I actually made this topic after seeing that today. I personaly do think that there currently is a drought, but it won't last very long.

There's alway's going to be a drought of games. People have to dedicate Hours of work to make this stuff you know.

There is a small drought, but when games like SSMBrawl, Metroid 3 and Mario galaxy come out they will keep people occupied for years (especially Brawl, considering what happened with SSBMelee). Bran, i agree with you about WiiPlay 100% It is NOT as good a game as everyone reviews who seem to think it's the best thing since sliced bread >_< I only have it because i went shopping for a controller, then found teh game came free

Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB and others are all being made as we speak. There is no drought and, knowing Nintendo, there shouldn't be one for a long, long time.

Yea, soon the games will come rolling in once that online-multiplayer feature comes out, hopefully soon. It does seem kinda like a game drought.. but only for this month. A game I'm looking forward to for release is Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, its going to be sooo sweet to do those special new moves with the wii mote and ofcourse the fatalitys.

On Nintendo's part, at least, I can say it's done purposely. Metroid Prime 3 was supposed to launched at launch day but they moved it back. Sure, partly because they want to perfect the game as much as they can, but it's also done as a marketing strategy and release the games one after the other. Wario was the most recent one to be released. Later on we'll be seeing eagerly awaited games like Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Project Hammer, Day of Crisis, and much more.
It's not a drought really, they're just moving slowly now so they can purposely pick up speed later. They've already promised more Wii colors to chose from and more attachments for the Wiimote relatively soon.
As for third party Developers I think they're going strong so far. And even if they weren't h'm absolutely sure that soon enough more and more interest will develop for the Wii in all aspects.

Yeah, I can't wait for Armageddon either. I like how they decided to hold back the wii version so that they could work with the wii controlls. It shows that they care about the system. =) But there are some of those annoying people out there who claim that the game will suck cuz the new moves will ruin the game and destroy the series. I don't belive that.

Yeah I think the same but VC is good too but not everyone wants to play retro old games now they want something where of the game is not stale and ancient. they have classics on VC just not my top favorite ones yet though

Take it easy. I'm not suffering from this stuff since every month there is one or two games that I like and buy. March: I got Medal of Honor Vanguard. April: I'm going to get Super Paper Mario. May: Maybe Mario Party 8 & Mortal Kombat Armageddon. June: Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition.
