I recently found an M rated game on the Wii. It was farcry at walmart and I had money on me intended to buy a game. Before I was going to buy Rayman, but when I saw Farcry, I wanted it so badly. After I bought it, I went on over to blockbuster cuz I had a gift certificate for it. And in the rentals for the Wii I saw Splinter Cell (I think it was either Chaos theory or Double Agent, I forget which one is out for the Wii) I had heard good things about the new Splinter Cell game, but I had heard nothing about Farcry except for its makers are currently working on a highly anticipated game called Crysis for the PC. So, I decided not to open the Farcry game and return it to walmart so that I could buy Splinter Cell. But Splinter Cell for the wii, for some reason, is really hard to find in any stores around me. Then I started to think that maybe Farcry was better and I might prefer that. I havent been able to look at reviews for them yet and compare, but I was wondering if anyone had played any of them on the Wii and what they thought about them. So, which do you like more for the Wii, Farcry or Splinter Cell?

You dodged a close bullet by asking us for advice before buying Farcry. Terrible, Terrible, excuse for a game. I rather not even get started on it. But overall mostly the game is a production of laziness with the most obvious result being evident in the poor graphics. In my opinion they're almost poor enough to run on the N64. My word should be enough, but since you might not have developed that trust with me that I have developed with the other mods on this forum here are some links: wii.ign.com/articles/751/751136p1.htmlwww.gamespot.com/wii/action/farcry/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummarySplinter cell is decent from what I've read, but still not a great game. Quite honestly you'd be making a much better choice buying Rayman instead of ethier of those two games. I certainly hope you're not consider buying those games strictly because they have an 'M' Rating. Buying a game for that purpose alone makes you less mature if anything. Adults buy good games of any genre, not poor games because of their rating.

Oh god, thanks for telling me that. If I hadn't gone to blockbuster, i would have been pissed. No wonder Wal-mart had so many of them! And the game case makes it look so good, but once you see screen shots you start to wonder if those are arms or tree trunks!
Thanks for the info albert.
And no, I'm not getting it just cuz of the rating.
I got it cuz it was an FPS that could have 2 players. And I do like to have some blood in my shooters =P.
But I want Splinter Cell cuz I heard so much about the series, and I've never tried it, so why not try it on the wii. And my neighbor had said that it looks like a really good game and that he wanted it on the gamecube. I told him I'd just get it on the wii and we can play it togehter cuz it's two players.
Once again thanks, I doged a bullet there.

Yes you did. I have all the games in the Splinter Cell series and everytime a new one comes out, it's better than the last one before it.

I was very dissapointed. If you want a good fps get Red Steel, if you don't already have it. Also if you want something differnet you could always get Elebits. I heard it was pretty good. If you don't want any of these save that money away for some good games coming out soon.

Nah, I'll give splinter cell a shot, I'll probably end up renting it first. I don't want red steel cuz I'll end up hating the slow moving controls, I'm really meticulious about that stuff.

Yeah, but they didn't make it 2 player. I wanted to have 2 player when my friends and family come over.
