Today while I was playing Red Steel, a guy came to my house to work on my dishwasher. He was working on it and while my Red Steel game was loading, he turned off the power at the end of it saving and the begging of it loading. I was sooo scared! I had heard of other people who had lost their memory because of that. I was already 80% done and I don't think I could of gotten that far again. Anyways, When the power was back on, I checked if it was all there and luckily it was! SO I guess my question to you is, Can the Wii also loose it's data if someone turns it off while it loads and saves? If it doesn't is it because it uses a flash drive?

It very well could retain memory when turned off, but all Videogame companies recommend not doing that because it's just asking to get deleted. I don't know if it uses a flash drive, though.

All games are like that. For the Gamecube Memory Cards can't be removed or the system's power shouldn't be turned off while saving because you run the risk of corrupting the data on the card. Same with old fashioned game packs. I remember you were prompted to not turn off the power when saving your game in Pokemon.
So it's not because it's a flash drive, which btw I believe it is.

Omg guys, it is a flash drive, lol. I thought everyone would know that.
But yeah, the only thing that turning the power off now-a-days could be memory corruption, which isnt fun.
