Okay here's the deal, last month I went up to my aunts house for thanksgiving and she has a really good wireless connection. I don't have a any way to connect my Wii to the internet other than visiting her, so I really need some help finding a reliable wireless connection. Any type of wireless modem that's been used to connect consoles would really help.

I already tried 3 services already (linksy, netgear and sony) and they didn't work on my computer for some unknown reason, and it's really annoying having a brand new console and not being able to use it to it's full potential just because I don't have a wireless Internet connection.

You could always get the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector.
It's cheaper than getting a wireless connection, but it only works for the DS and the Wii, and it doesn't have much range.
If you have a TV near a computer then it might be a good idea.

Also you need to have boardband or higher speed in order to use the Wi-Fi USB Connector. If you have dial-up, then it won't work.

K, I bought a Wireless router just or the Wii. so if you have a high speed connectoin, then you just need a router. Now how exactly did linksy, netgear and sony not work? Just plug them in to your internet connectoin. like this Cable modem>Wireless router>your computer<><>WIRELESS gets picked up by Wii If your Wii sees the signal, but it asks for a password, look in themanual, or look up that routers page on it's company website. If the Wii sees it, but fails the connectoin test, then try turning off the WEP encryption.

Yeah they alway's make it sound that easy but here's how it really goes.
Step 1: Plug wireless modem into your computer
Step 2: Insert installer disc
Step 3: Go through a 15-25 page setup, Not 3 Easy Steps.
Step 4: Have fully installed and have it fail to send wireless signal for some unknown reason.
Step 5: Call Customer Support and hold for 30 minutes.
Step 6: explain your problem so they can tell you to call the manufacture of your computer.
Step 7: Call the manufacture and hold for 30 minutes, Again.
Step 8: explain your problem so they can tell you to call back Customer Support and repeat process 5.
Step 9: They tell you they want to inspect the wireless modem and send you a box to ship it to them.
Step 10: The wireless modem is found to incompatible with your computer and they suggest you refund the wireless modem.
Step 11: Realize there's only a 20 day limited refund on it.
Step 12: Finally throw wireless modem and computer out a window in ballistic rage.
Step 13: Repeat steps 1-12 until you've finally lost it.
Side Step: Shoot Bill Gate's.

You can't just plug the wireless router in and expect it to work, you need to open up your internet settings and set your internet router to "Bridge Mode".
Go to your internet providers website (Earthlink, SBC Yahoo.. ect.) and go to the frequently asked questions or support and look up how to set it to bridge mode. I think you can do it by opening up internet explorer and in the adress bar put in your IP adress.. 192.168.1.1 press enter put in your email adress and password and change the settings.

1. Window's XP 2000, only 4 years old.
2. I'm not exactly a full computer savy so everytime I open a progam to try and fix the problem I get locked out of the internet and have to reroute the power. But this is the first time I've finally got helpful information(unlike text support did) so thank's I'll try that.
