People have been asking lately why they can't find a Wii console for retail yet, well in recent turn of events it turns out Nintendo was sued for copyright infringement of the Wii-Mote. In my opinion this is one the stupidest legal technicality's I've ever heard so far. There being sued because of it's shape, you know what here's a link so you can read for yourself: wii.ign.com/articles/750/750001p1.htmlAll I really know is that this sounds like a complete waste of time and money for whatever this Canadian crappy company thinks they were original.

Not to sound rude, but...SCREW THEM! You made a remote. Whoopee! So has thousands of other companies. Oh, but yours is "special", and it's just like the Wii-mote. Well, too Fucking bad!! The Wii doesn't cause "loss of royalties" Nintendo just made a game system! ...Okay, I'm done now.

Nintendo has a good legal team. It's not like this is the first time someone has filed a lawsuit against them

What I don't get about this whole law suit is how they're suing them because of their supposed 'loss of sales' since the Wii has come out.
How exactly does the sale of a controller for a game console affect the sales of a remote for powerpoint? They don't both do the same thing. It's not as if people say 'Hmm, I've already got a controller for this console, why do I need a pointer for my powerpoint display?'. I doubt this lawsuit is even going to make it to court.

It's a good thing I just got my Wii. I was afraid this was going to happen so I spent $50 more. If I didn't I probably wouldn't of gotten until February!!

This is just stupid. These guys are going to lose everything that they waste on just so they can sue Nintendo for the damn idea of the Wiimote? Nintendo is going to win the battle and the war.
Man it's a crazy justice world out there. Anything can get you no matter what you do.

Some companies leap at the chance to sue another richer company. But Nintendo will probably win.

Man it's a crazy justice world out there. Anything can get you no matter what you do. You are exactly right, but that's what people take advantage of. Some companies leap at the chance to sue another richer company. But Nintendo will probably win. Thank you. Every company sues no matter what the subject is. The case can get some headlines or world wide headlines either way, we still here from them. Here is an example. A well know wrestling company (WWE) had been sued by a German boy that killed a homeless man while he was drunk. He blames that the new WWE video game (WWE Raw vs. SmackDown! 2007) are the reason for his actions. That was crazy to hear. So like what I said, no one is safe from suing, that includes major compaines.

This is a strong example of how stupid and desprate some people are to get some quick cash, not to mention it's a dying company in Canada (i hate canada).
