hey im lost..does anyone know how the blue light in the wii stays on...i mean..it comes on..then it's off!.is their a way to make it stay!

That's what I'm thinking about too. I thought the light was going to stay on when a game is playing.

I'm pretty sure the Wii Slot light is only used for certain events. Sure it would have been nice to have it on at all times but the way they have it set up by default is that if you have your Wii connected to the internet and you get a new message or update the Slot light glows blue.
Really, really cool.

the illumination feature only happens when u get a email(wiimail) or any other message in ur envelope button on the bottom right of the main screen

no, it only goes on when you you get mail.
