The stupid friend codes...Why cant you just like, have a gamertag type thing. Were all you do is enter a set in stone name for your wii to your friends.
It would make things much more easy!
Or if not that just the system code!

12-Digit codes are why Nintendo is losing to Microsoft.
Nintendo would lose to Sony, but the PS3 costs too much

Maybe Nintendo wants people to be able to change their screen name whenever they want without people getting confused on who they are.
Thats the only thing I can think of.

Thats the only thing I can think of. i assumed it was in order to prevent people from guessing a kid's screen name, then become friends with them through Wii Messaging, then promise them candy if they meet them.. I figure, Nintendo doesn't wanna be responsible for that, so they use 12 digit codes instead of simple names. |

Yeah if nintendo had to go to court cause michael jackson raped an 11 year old over wi-fi, it would be very very bad for there kid friendly image.

Yeah it's going to suck when I start adding people to my FC list in wiFi games. It must suck when you have to add alot of people.

Well, If you've added people into you're messaging list, you can put in the code and you're own name for them that appeals to you, but they may have a different screen name or whatever during game play.

The last I heard about the console War the Wii was outselling the 360 by a large amount. In fact, many people think that the 360 will be in 3rd place by the end of the War. |

Yes, yes it does...but the 360 also came out an entire year before the Wii meaning the 360 already endured 2 Christmases as well as the whole year when it was the only next-gen console available. |
