Well the Wii is lacking in 3rd party online support but it has a lot of other 3rd pary support. Ubisoft and Ea games both love it! Ea tgames will probably make some online games(just look at Battle field 2)for the Wii.

I can tell you right now that most of the racing games that will be made for the Wii will most likely be online. Like mario kart and nascar and need for speed.

i never really understood why they created nascar.maybe they could make a nintendogs wifi game.......or a trauma center wifi game.just imagine if there was a chat mode and co-op surgeries.nurse RB_bran (lol) pass the scalpel.

Even if they did I doubt nintendo would let them get away with anythign over five bucks a month at most.

The wifi will be free for any game that you buy, it will be just like having a DS. All you need is a wifi rouder with high speed internet, and you're all good baybe.
But yeah, some third party people may charge for downloading games off the internet for the Wii.

Wi-fi will be free to play on it but it will cost money to download stuff from the virtual system. Depending how old it is it'll range from $2 to $10

Well that's some shit by activision alright. Still there is always hope. After all, Nintendo has stated that because of Wii Connect24 Programmers wont have to "write a single line of programing" to set their games for online functionality. So it sounds like if Activision regrets their decision they will be able to implement online gaming after release. |

It was stated that nintendo wouldnt give out the online libraries to third parties needed to make the games online. With that info released, i think nintendo is just trying to protect itself or trying to surprise us. If a company such as sony were to get ahold of it, they would end up prolly copying it or something. Its either that or they want to surprise us and giving out that kind of information might give away the features they are going to release with wii online, but i am sure that after everything is annouced an cleared and we know everything about the Wii, then they will release the libraries and will shall have online!
