HDTV

So two days ago I got an HDTV. Now I thought I would be sad because now I have one and the Wii wont support it. But then I thought, sure the HD looks pretty and all but you don't really need mind blowing graphics for games as long as thier fun. And also, even though it isn't in HD it will still look considerably better on an LCD tv, so whetever. What do ya'll think about no HD support on the Wii, do you care?

I've seen how the Wii looks on a plasma at E3, and it looks superb. Though it doesn't support hi-def, I couldn't care less. Adding HD will only increase the price.

And of course there is always the fact that not a lot ofpeople have HDTVs. Well, not the average person will have it.

I think HD is stupid. I mean the graphics now a days are really good. If you wanted real life graphics just step outside. I think video games should stay at what the graphics are now and not get to real.

Yeah, I agree with that. I'd much rather have better gameplay and cheaper prices then something that looks awesome but isn't very fun. I'm perfectly happy with NES graphics myself! XD

Well I dissagree with that. Graphics should improve but not be the sole purpouse for buying games.

not only that but also theres the fact that nintendo looks into the parents eyes.i wouldnt buy my kid a 600$ system plus about 2 or 3 70$ games for christmas

Very ture. Frankly if I was a parent that didn't know much about Video Games I would definetly consider buying a 250$ system (or less) that I would probably be more likely to play myself.

ya I mostly agree with that but if you where a parent that didn't know about video games you would buy the cheaper one but you wouldn't know you would have more fun. It would just turn out that way. That shows if parents are cheap they can have more fun in many ways

All this is true, but some people want to have to take out a loan for an HDTV. They actually complain that the Wii won't have any better graphics on it.
My personal opinion on the whole "realistic graphics" thing is that eventually the graphics will be so good, real lif will look like past-gen graphics. Soon we'll be able to play games in a virtual world, and...and..

nintendo wouldnt be nintendo if every thing was realistic. c'mon if mario was realistic then he wouldnt be able to jump 10 feat in the air.metroids the only franchise that needs realistic graphics based on the fact that its the right artstyle.but i was kind of disappointed at some of the changes in tp like the unfriendly atmosphere.hey wait a minute! >:(why is there a ps3 ad on a nintendo forum!

The only HD I like is on my computer and its games cause there made for that kind of game play. And its not like I have an HDTV.. I see no use for that in my house hold.
