I haven't been on the forum's for awhile. Reason's being, schools really tiring. I've barely had a chance to play many games or go online for reasons other than work, but that should change when summer rolls around the corner.
...at-least, that's what I thought at first.
I just finished watching a bunch of Halo 3 video's, and...I gotta say, I'm, surprised. I've never gotten this feeling before. I, want, to play it. I, Want, to play, an Xbox 360 Game!
I've always loved Nintendo and every game that they manage to output. There the Whole Reason I got into gaming in the first place. But, lately, I can't seem to get into any of there games. I tried a few Gamecube games on the Wii, the VC and some new games they just released. But, I just, don't really feel as much hype as I use too. At first I thought it was just because they were still working on the Wii's features and all it's games, but when they released Super Paper Mario, I was, really upset. I mean, the premises was nothing new, and the whole 2D to 3D got annoying after awhile. In the end, it was really, just...gimmicky?
Oh god, I can't believe it. I really think a brand new Paper Mario game from Nintendo is, gimmicky. The world has to be coming to an end (or my gaming life).
It was a big disappointment in the end, but figured it would pass when some new Wii games came out, but nothing recent gave me the hype I needed. That is, until, I got news from IGN. A whole load of Halo 3 Beta video's. When I first heard of Halo 3 at last years E3, I was impressed in a normal way a gamer would react (i thought the trailer was enough to impress anybody). But nothing overshadowed my feelings for the Wii. I figured it was just another shoot and kill like all others at first, but I still kept tabs on it, since it was always spoken of so likely. I couldn't believe what happened, but I was so...freaking...IMPREASED!!
It was so Fast Paced, the action grappled me in ways I couldn't imagine! I've played Halo before on my friends computer, but it Never got my blood pumping like this. Not to mention, I was Awe Struck by how beautiful the environment looked. Then I realized, "Holy S***, I care about the Graphics!" It was amazing too look at, but when I was done, I realized, it just wasn't enough. I had the feeling I got so long ago when they first announced the Wii, er, Revolution. But...it just feels so wrong.
I mean, the first game I ever played was Super Mario World on the SNES, and Nintendo became my life after that. Now, I feel like such a traitor.
Even if I do go out and but an Xbox 360, try it out, and turn out liking it, it'll still be an gigantic drop in my wallet. There are still so many games that are coming out for the Wii, that I Really want to get on day 1. But, I've never felt this Hyped about a game, since, well, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.
Do I go out and buy a Xbox 360 and see if I like it? Or do I wait until Nintendo releases something new? I'm so conflicted it's making my stomach crawl. What'll I Do!?
