how we began gaming

alright heres something to get some activity, plus im gonna be doing some work at the new computing museum so its something to spark the interest.

so what was it that attracted us to the world of gaming, how was the sensation and what was that very first game you played or the first console you had.

i believe for me it was an old microsoft machine, every day id get up and greet my father in the computer office while waiting for it to boot up, and depending on my mood id load up mortal kombat or sonic the hedgehog. ahh, good times and good games

We discussed this in the interview thread but whatever.

My brothers always played the n64,never let me play,so my dad bought me a genesis 3,first games i played was the sonic the hedgehog series.

My older siblings (more specifically, my brother, and one of my sisters [Chickopie]) played a lot of games, and they introduced me to them. I believe the N64 was my first, and my first game was either Banjo-Kazooie or Ocarina of Time, I can't remember which.

I also played a lot of NES and SNES, because we owned both of them.

I started off on the NES, I'd play mario bros, duck hunt, zelda (though i never knew what to do) and captain bucky o hare. I'd often take some of these to latimers house too. We then got a genesis, I only ever played jurassic park, we then got a snes, played that to death on super mario world until the n64 came out, which was when I really got into gaming seriously, everything I loved was on there, Got a cube, loved it, re bought my snes, got a wii, get a kick out of the main franchises, got a 360, play online with my bros, but I still often play the n64 in my room, I do love perfect dark.

Now im just waiting for nintendos next console, hopefully a less glitchy 360 style machine but with all the zelda and mario goodness.

nintendo is someone you can really rely on for a good adventure or platform game

But for a decent online service you cant.

to be frank i could do without those

I suppose it depends on the player, i enjoy beating a game and actually being able to do something else rather than replay the same mother fuckin' game 14817 times.
