Signs of PS3 failure

We all knew it would happen. (or at least most of us did)

The extremely high price, certain TV requirements in order to get full screen, non-rumble, etc. of the PS3 has caused a major effect on sony. Sony claims that it will be successful once more games comes out, but I doubt that.

No one is buying PS3s anymore. I visited GameStop today to get me some new Wii games and I saw this big stack of both versions of the PS3 in the middle. Taped right next to the demo PS3 was a paper that said something like this:

"Can't affor the PS3? Then turn in the following at your locat EB games or GameStop:

1 Fully Functional PS2
2 Fully functional PS2 controllers
1 Memory card

Then you can get $100 off of either version of the PS3 of your choice."

Still think the PS3 isn't failing sony?

Well, I've seen advertisements for Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc. saying that they have both versions of it in full stock along with plenty of games. They keep on desperately trying to sell the system.

The PS3 will be comming out in Europe, and the Middle east soon and sony can only provide the 60 GIG version for them and only at limited supply. They say they will send the cheaper version later if sales are good enough. I personally think they should just send all of the extra ones collecting dust in the stores over here.

I just saw a 60 GIG version of the PS3 sell on ebay BRAND NEW AND WITH RECEIPT sell for $499.99 and a shipping charge of $79.00.

With shipping thats cheaper than how much it would cost in a local store:

Also, I read this article that says that the sales of the PS3 have just dropped again. The highest point of sales for it EVER was th weekend it was released and sales have decreased every week since the New Year. In fact, PS2 sales are almost matched with the sales of PS3s each week.

The company that has recieved the most sales for the begining of the year so far has been nintendo with it's DS Lites and Nintendo Wiis.

Xbox 360 sales are low compared to the other two but they have sold a good amount if you put in the fact that it's been out for a year.

You think that's bad?! When I was at Best Buy at the middle of January I saw a stack of 30 Ps3's! Right next to it was a stack of 360's and that pile was smaller! And than a guy walked up with another guy and one asked if the other would get a Ps3 that day. The other guy said," You know I think I might actually be getting one. You nkow, it would only take my money for Food away for a week and my Chirstmas money, but it's so worth it for the graphics!"

Here where I live, sony'd only sold the PS3s that first came out. After that, they never sold another one here. Every store that sells games has PS3s out the wazoo! EBgames here even started a PS3 sale, where they give you a 10% discount if you trade in a used game!
So yeah, Sony is probably shitting thier pants right now.

Oh boy, it's like the U.S government. Both them and Sony don't always listen to the people when they do stupid stuff. Now Sony is paying the price, big time. They are letting both Nintendo and Mircosoft get more money from them (which is good for Nintendo because now they are beginning to get out of the hole that they have digged when the N64 and PS1 came out.)

I'd buy a PS3, but only because I love console's. But think about this for a second, people waited Months on line just to get one, someone actually got shot for a PS3 and other people payed over 9,000 dollars for them on Ebay. What do you think there thinking Now that they could get it at local EB Games? I'd probably have to guess something like...WHAT THE F*** WAS I THINKING!!

I do remember seeing a huge stack of Ps3's at bestbuy a while ago, but only one guy was buying one. Though I hope sony dramatically drops the price to make up for sales so I can afford to buy one... or i'll just get a 360.

Months? It wasn't that dramatic, it was more like weeks. But yeah, those people who waited weeks and a lot of money are probably feeling pretty bad right now.

Yeah that's where the Xbox controller came from. I just got the latest issue from EGM and the cover is about the signs and what Sony is saying about the Ps3 failing and how the Wii and Xbox 360 is beating the PS3. I'll scan some of the article and post them here later.

I just got that article to, and the new president is making everything seem a lot beter than it actually is. He said that it's a good thing that 9 out of 18 of the stores they called where out of stock of Ps3's. He said it's good that they almost sold 1 million Ps3's even though the Wii has sold 2 million .

It's good...because he's probably bought a Wii himself.
He's trying to convince everyone it's not totally bombing, even though a monkey see that it is. Which reminds me: Didn't Sony hire a monkey as their business manager?

This really makes me sad, but I thnik that by when the Ps4, new xbox, and new Nintedo system come out the Ps3 will turn out to have the best sales. This is going to be another Ps2 story: The Ps2 at launch was horrible but every one bought it. Eventually they got awsome games and became the best. Now they're doing really bad, but look at the future. They have Motor Storm, Devil Mayr Cry, Metal Gear Solid, and God of War 3. They'll do even better if they lower the price. I think that it's going to be a close battle between Sony and Nintendo to see who gets the most sales, but Sony will win it at the end.

They're in a whole other boat. Because they released the Xbox360 so much earlier than Sony and Nintendo, they are now in a diffrent trench on the console war field. They already have sold millions of xbox360s. all they have to do now is keep the gravy train a'rolling! Only one real concern could be voiced toward them. That they maintain the lead, and that they make sure they don't get sloppy doing so. But there's still the chance either Nintnedo or Sony could pass up Microsoft...

I like Nintendo and Microsoft right now. I really want to get a 360. But right now I don't want to bother with sony. I'd get the PS3 only if they lower the damned price. But until then, I'm sticking with Nintendo and Microsoft.

I heard that they are going to lower the price of the Ps3 very soon, because they are going to change the chip they put into it into a more cheaper version. Hopefully, they will do this. It'll be a lot easier for me to get it if they do. I'll post the link if i can find it.

Amazon says SNES is Outselling PS3

Now here's a good laugh, the SNES is ranked over three times higher than the PS3 in the Amazon game sales charts. The SNES weighs in at rank 12, while the PS3 occupies rank 42.

Don't forget that someone else died for a Nintendo Wii in California. That was stupid that the radio station did that contest. I think it was called: 'Hold your wee for a Wii' or something like that.
