Stupid Microsoft >.>
I just got Halo 3, and wanted to play it. So I go upstairs, turn on my 360..
And my Hard Drive is fried. Dunno how it happened, but now I need to get a new hard drive (luckily, it's still under warranty, so Microsoft will send me a new one for free) and I lose ALL my game saves!
Does anyone know if my arcade games will be re-downloadable through my live account, or will I lose those games, too?

Does your 360 have a red ring lighted up where the green ring lights up?

Does your 360 have a red ring lighted up where the green ring lights up? If you do have that it's called the red ring of death. Sadly, a lot of Xbox owners get this. I've heard that there's a faster way to fix it, without you sending in the xbox, but if you do this it voids the warranty. My friend wrapped his 360 in a towel and cooled it down, and it worked!(I'm not sure if this would work for all 360's so you're better off sending it into Microsoft.)

i got 1 red ring, not 3. I asked my friend, he said my Harddrive is probably fried, looked it up online, fried. called tech support. fried.
If I turn the 360 on without the harddrive, it works perfectly though. So yeah.. I sent it off last week, hopefully I'll get my new one soon.

i bought the cheap version,so i just have a memory card, and im really hoping i dont get the red rings of death,im scared to play for more than an hour, but im probably being overly cautious.i'll get that little fan that somehow plugs to the back next time i see one.
also,a guy at gamestop told not to plug the power cord into an extension cord or surge protecter, instead i should just plug it into the wall outlet directly.
this is more then i should have to do for my system, but i want to play gta4 and re5 dammit!

So do you enjoy your 360 games when you can play it for 20 minutes without it dying?

Aparently some kid spilt water on his 360 and the volt from the power outlet and he had his thumb blown off, what a noob.

Wasnt really an explosion, the hardrive fried and caused something to fuck up in the power outlet as he touched it causing electricity to stun the shit head and it took his thumb off.
