well in a way he's a lot like nihongo,but most of the jokes in fruits basket that were actually funny involved shigure in some way.
like this one time that a character put in a lot of soap in the washer,and the house got covered in soap:
shigure: (smiling) don't worry we can fix this(or something like that it's been awhile since i watched fb)
kyo: why are you smiling
shigure: oh sorry (puts on that little vein buldge thing that they use in anime shows)
