its time i answer some questions since i just bought star fox command:
star fox command: its an okay game,sub-par graphics and frustrating gameplay,if anyone wants to play this online i think you should go to our chatroom, since it isn't good enough to have its own section. In short, this game made me want to buy the other star fox games,in fact, thats probably their plan.i already bought star fox assualt,i own star fox 64,and im about to buy star fox adventures.
lego star wars 2: its a game to rent, since its kinda short and the replay value isn't very good.but theres co-op play and ifinate lives so this game cant get easier.

Well, I'm going to do the review for the following game: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii. You guys can also do a review for it too so don't bad if this review didn't help you. Here we go.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess System: Wii Genre: Action/Adventure
One of the greatest series in Nintendo comes to the Wii and this time we see one hero with two sides of him. Yes Link finally turns into Wolf Link. So here is the basic story from it, Hyrule is now threaten by a realm called the Twilight Realm. It takes over the lands and provinces/states of the Hyrule Kingdom one by one. In the province of Ordona is where Links lives and works in the Ordon Village and Ordon Ranch. Then the evil Twilight monsters attack the Ordon Spring Lake which houses last free protector of the Hyrule Kingdom. Link saves the protector and kills the enemies. Then Link embarks on a mission to free the other protectors, the Ordon village kids that were taken by the enemies, and collect Fused Shadows for Midna who he meets when he turns into a wolf. Together, they visit many new and familiar places that we have seen in other Zelda games. And the ending....I'm not going to tell you what it is or who is in it. You got to find out for yourself.
The graphics are outstanding and beautiful. Also the places and temples are well-done with great bosses and characters. The music is so great that one of them, the Hyrule Field song, is stuck in my head and whistle to it when I hear it, that's how good the music is. The weapons are cool even the new Gale Boomerang. The replay value is good even though everyone else and I hasn't passed the game yet. Right now I have passed the game in 46 hours and 13 minutes. So the question is does Twilight Princess surpasses Ocarina of Time? Well you need to play this game in order to find in your opinions if it does. For me as of now, it is a tie because both of the games were cool for their systems that it came out. Wasting $50 in this game is a good deal if you are a person who loves action, adventure, a game with good story and past history, and a continuing series.
+ Perfect use of the graphics + Tremendous music + A very long game with a good number of places to visit + Good use of Wolf Link + Cool and some weird new characters + Great replay value + Good boss fights + Great storyline + Great voice acting + Good use of the Wiimote + Great game to your Zelda collection + Perfect on-going series with more addition to the Zelda chronology
- Nothing much to give as a negative
[glow=green,2,300]Score out of 10: 10/10 The amazing Zelda game that we all have been waiting for since Ocarina of Time. [/glow]

I'm kinda depressed to discover that the majority of the reviews in this thread are for the gamecube, which I don't have, so I'm going to chuck in a review for the PS2 owners out there. This is a game I've recently enjoyed.
Dragon Quest VIII: The Legend of the Cursed King Playstation 2 Difficulty: Medium
With a huge gap in between Final Fantasy's (FFXII hasn't even been released yet in New Zealand), I was looking for a new RPG to sink my teeth into. After browsing IGN.com for a short while I managed to come across a game called 'Dragon Quest VIII', and was quite intrigued. I bought this game and I don't regret it at all.
I hadn't played any of the Dragon Quest's before, so I didn't know what to expect, but as soon as I turned my console on, I was treated to a wonderful opening video which showed me the beauty of the environments present in this game. I was eager to start my game, and see what it had to offer.
The character models look quite good in their cell-shading, although the characters do look a bit too much like the characters in Dragon Ball Z for my tastes (well, their faces anyway), this being because the characters were designed by the one who designed the characters for DBZ. Resemblance to Dragon Ball Z aside, the characters are well designed, but I was quite annoyed with how much they are used. The same character models are present in every town, and sometimes more than once in one town. The big masked man who looks more suited to be in a room full of leather and whips is present in a large amount of weapons stores, and even as a sailor at one point.
What I was surprised by in the game was the level of difficulty present right at the start of the game. As soon as I entered the first 'dungeon' I came across some quite hard enemies, and subsequently died. This happened a few times to me, but I was glad when I found that the difficulty evens out later on in the game. This sort've difficulty may put off some 'less hardcore' gamers.
Now I'm sure RPG'ers here would be quite interested in how the story plays out, considering that's what a large portion of RPGs are, and I must say, the general story in it is quite generic. But although it has a generic plot, the smaller storylines in it are really quite good (I thought the one about the mourning king was excellent). Coupling that with the sheer fun that you get out of playing it and its quite likely that you'll be with it to the end.
Of course that does take quite a while. If you're planning on doing everything in the game (and there is alot to do) you're looking at a game that totals over the 100 hour mark. Unlike most ridiculously long games, this game actually manages to hold your attention and keep you wanting to play it up until the end, which is always a plus.
Now, on to the voice acting. In this game, we are given a host of characters with English voice actors, which ties in with the whole medieval England general setting to the game, and I must say, the voice acting is some of the best of the year (that it was released ('05)). What I was largely disappointed by was the lack of speaking for 'The Hero' (he doesn't have a name, the game makes you name him yourself). In a game like Zelda, I can tolerate the lack of speaking for the main character, because that is less plot based, but in DQVIII I felt that that really hurt the game.
The scope of the game is huge. At the start of the game, it takes forever to get from one end of the continent to the other, couple this together with the high random encounter rate, and you'll find yourself spending alot of time moving from one town the next. I found myself spending alot longer than I probably should have just running around, looking for treasure and admiring the view. Luckily, early on you do learn a technique that allows you to instantly warp to a previously visited town, which is quite useful.
The combat system in the game I felt is quite good. The enemies have good AI, so you actually have to think about what your next move is quite alot of the time, and the system is basic enough to navigate around it with ease.
All in all, I think this is a great game, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good RPG gaming experience, which is fun as well as engaging.
[glow=green]9.3/10[/glow]

I will review next! ;D I will do a X-Play like review! Game:Pokemon Diamond System:Nintendo DS Well, look who's back, it's those loving little pocket monsters that kind of botherd to make almost the same game over and over. That's what most people said when they saw Pokemon Diamond for the Nintendo DS. Now I know the game looks like all the other pokemon games out there, the catching, the person you choose, and the items you get. Well there is actually some difference here from other poekmon games.Pros: There is now a added 150 new pokemon, these little critters pop up all over the place so you will mostly see the 4th generation of pokemon from water, to land, to even caves. Another new feature is the Poketech Watch, it shows nifty gadgets such as the time, pokemon you've caught, and anything else you can get to attach to the pokewatch. Oh and did we mention the time of the day changes, yup thats right, Day, Evening, and Nighttime. Now, there's no playing alone in this pokemon game, no there is now a WIFI feature that you can use if you have another person's friend code, to battle and trade, or if people are next to you use local WIFI to battle, trade, draw, and even make new pokemon treats called Poffins. Oh i forgot to mention, WIFI pokemon trading anyone? Yup its in there.. Cons:Now even though the game sounds perfect there's a few things that I think could be fixed, such as glitches that sometimes happen if you have an early japanese or american version of the game, beign able to walk through certain doors or going staright through grass without encountering pokemon. Also, I think it is unfair that there are 3 extra legendarys in the each version,(apart fro mthe ones you get normally) that requires a event pass from a nintendo even to get, which means only the lucky ones may get these 3 strong, Dark, Grass, and Metal i think type pokemon,(even though one is only level 30), and this is also bad because the i think metal type legendary is level 80! ! The highest level wild legendary to catch in any pokemon game! As if that isnt bad, i think i the land amount in Sinnoh is smaller than the Hoen land from Pokemon Sapphire or Ruby, i mean c'mon the land does look smaller than the land in other pokemon games, excluding the extra area you unlock after the pokemon leauge in diamond. And the people that put pokemon up for trade and want a certain pokemon for it, thier offers could be as little as a level 1 pokemon for a Mewtwo lv 50..i mean c'mon who wants to trade a legendary for a normal pokemon, ah but i cant blame my country. It may be a 3-d fun time pokemon RPG, but it does have it's bad times, so now as i stop reviewing i give Pokemon Diamond for the Nintendo DS, 4 gotta catchem all's out of 5 *Note:Diamond and Pearl Are the same game with different legendarys to catch, Dialgia=Diamond, Palkia=Pearl.*

Game: Diddy Kong Racing DS Platform: Nintendo DS
I have very fond memories of this game. I still remember driving turtles, squirrels and badgers around wild, insane and downright brilliant tracks, blasting everyone else with the ten-rocket weapon. Ah the good old days. And now Rare has decided to re-release it for the DS, with added features such as Wi-Fi capabilities and more. But exactly how well does this remake match up to the old, N64 version?
Let's begin. First off, those wacky drivers themselves. The fact that Rare is now making games for Microsoft has changed the lineup slightly. Banjo and, I hate to say, Conker are out and Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong, are in. Although I'll miss Conker dearly, it could've been worse. They still have the legendary Drumstick on the cast.
Next up, the tracks. On the N64 version, these were havoc thanks to the huge dinosaurs stomping around and the multiple shortcuts. And thankfully, Rare hasn't changed these much. They still retain the old mental challenge and pure fun element. But one major change to the tracks, is the brand new Wish Race feature. Wish Race, you say? Wish Race. This is an all new feature which allows you to build your own tracks...but only to a point. You use your stylus to draw the track, adjust the bumpiness of the track, then race! Simple? Yes. Good tracks? Not really. The bumps are randomly placed and all the races take place on a rather bland, cloud setting. Nevertheless, it's a good idea, but they could've done more.
The structure of the races themselves has changed too. At the start, to get the all important boost, you have to spin a wheel using the stylus(for a car), blow into the mic to spin a propeller (for the hovercraft) and use the stylus to spin a propeller for the plane. Now, this sounds good. But for the car and the plane, it just doesn't work. It's immensely hard to spin the wheel and then quickly get back in control of the car. You practically have to throw the stylus in the air to get to the buttons to stay in control.
And then there's the new touch screen modes. Instead of the N64's coin collecting challenge, you use the stylus to pop balloons. And this is so damn ANNOYING. The balloons won't always be in front of you. And you'll have to drag to stylus across the screen to rotate the camera. One tiny misjudgement and the camera will rotate and you could miss a balloon or two. But those flaws are childplay, compared the touch screen boss battles.
One of the boss battles will see you drawing lines on the touch screen to direct your car and spinning a wheel every now and again to speed up. This is so impractical. The lines are hard to judge and make the car hard to steer. A shaky hand will see you flying off the track like it's made of Vaseline.
Overall, this is a fun game with some genuinely fun Wi-Fi possibilties. But it could have been so much more if Rare resisted the attraction of tacking on touch screen features in place of some of the retro FUN modes. It may have seemed like a good idea, but it just drags the whole thing down. What could've been a contender to Mario Kart DS' crown, has tripped over its laces. ______________________________________________
[glow=green,2,300]+[/glow] Ace graphics. [glow=green,2,300]+[/glow]Wi-Fi is uber-cool. [glow=green,2,300]+[/glow]Races are more varied and mental every race [glow=red,2,300]-[/glow]Touch Screen bits just suck [glow=red,2,300]-[/glow]Track Creator is just a bit, 'meh'
Final Verdict [glow=green,2,300]83%[/glow]

I'm going to make this one short, but hopefully this'll bump this thread up to get people reviewing again Name of the game:Metroid Prime 3:Corruption(for wii) Every now and then a game comes along that i will play till i pass out, this,is one of those games......seriosly,first i was fighting space pirates, then everything went black, then it was 4 AM and samus was dead. but anyways, this game is amazing, whether its because of the amazing visuals, the perfect control scheme or the surprisingly awesome voice-acting(which is new for a Nintendo game).the story line is hands down the best of the metroid series, and it has as much depth that you can put in an FPS. In a summary,BUY THIS GAME OR I WILL BEAT YOU TO NEAR DEATH,and if you dont have a wii, then why are you on this site. +great graphics +astounding controls +gripping storyline +and solid voice-acting too --the doors still wont open sometimes Final Score [glow=green,2,300]10 out of 10[/glow]
