Hey eveyone. Tomorrow is DVDay and I have about 6 DVDs that I will be reviewing, it also includes X-Men: The Last Stand. Be sure to check what's the rating for movie.
Update: So I won't triple post, I just modify this post. Well people, today is DVDday.
Today I have for you 6 DVds that I will be reviewing for you, they are: Lord of the Rings: Limitied Edition (all 3 flims), The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, mXc Season 1, and X-Men: The Last Stand.
First up is the three flims of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, now in Limited Edition. Each of the three flims are in 2 discs which has both versions of the films (the theater & the extended versions). Also the flims contains some more new commentary. But nothing much is new, unless you missed the extended version of the three flims.
Rent or Buy:
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (Limited Edition): Rent
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (Limited Edition): Rent
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (Limited Edition): Buy
Second is The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. The third flim of the Fast and the Furious series. The races now head to the underground world of Tokyo with a new style of racing, drifting. The flim contains extras in which they show on how they made the flim, the location of the flim and some trailers. This flim is great for any racing fans and to your collection if you own the first two with better action from the first two, but Vin Diseil isn't in this movie too.
Rent or Buy:
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift: Buy
Next up on the review is mXc: Season 1. Yes That show from Japan in which Spike TV changes the whole thing which is called Tatashi's Castle to mXc. The show is just simple, two teams of different types of anything ranging from the workers, pornstars, former child tv stars, teachers, directors, military soldiers, etc. Both teams are put into three or four different painful events which range from the Surfboard of Doom, Eat Shitaki, Foul Balls, Domino of Doom, Pinball Tilt, Log Drop, etc, which leads many players to painful moments in which we laugh at. This Dvd contains 23 episodes from the first season which includes the mXc Almost Live Special which the teams of Tony Hawk vs. in Orlando. Since the show is almost gone from Spike Tv (which they sucks), this is a great to relive the moments or see what been happening.
Rent or Buy:
mXc Season 1: Buy
Last one of the is list is X-Men: The Last Stand. Now I got the the collector's edition and that one is better than the one disc version. The mutants are tired of the humans for trying to wiped them off of this planet and now, Jean has gone crazy. She has killed Scott (Cyclpos), Professor X, and has joined with Mangeto, Mystique, Pyro, and Juggernaut. Now Logan (Worvienre), Storm, the Beast, Iceman, Kitty, & Rouge must stop the humans and Mangeto's plans from destorying San Francisco, Acatraz and the world. The film contains three different endings (which I won't tell), and has hours of extras of making the film. This is a great ending to the series (unless there could be a fourth one with maybe Gambit in it) and a good movie to own unless it is the collector's edition. Avoid the one disc version try to get the collector's edition.
Rent or Buy:
X-Men: The Last Stand Collector's Edition: Buy
X-Men: The Last Stand One Disc: Avoid
Check in next week on DVDay as I review Click and the Movies from the Vault section.

AT Tuesday Make a many you want. Maybe even 6 at a time. Yeah, I will do that. Every Tuesday, its DVDay with 5 to 10 reviews of DVDs from the new ones and old ones, while during every 2 or 3 days, there will be one DVD review from me. Also every Wednesday or Friday, its At the Cinema, where I give out the grade rating from A to F and the star rating. Last is on Monday, its Box Office Smash, where I give out what movies are in the top 5 and how much money it made.

Here is today's At the Cinema for Friday the 13th, 2006. Freaky. Today I got for you 2 gradings for The Marine starring John Cena and The Grudge 2 starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The Marine: Starring John Cena the movie starts with John Cena as John Triton, a heroic Marine who returns home after being discharged- against his will- from the Iraq War. Stateside, he finds himself back in action, when his wife (Kelly Carlson) is kidnapped by a murderous gang led by the merciless Rome (Robert Patrick). With everything on the line, the Marine will stop at nothing to carry out his toughest and most important mission, to get his wife back. Now this film is loaded with action, thiller, and romance.
Rating: B- The film will do ok in this weekend but it will fall to The Grudge 2.
The Grudge 2: Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, as she goes back to the same place she was in the last movie, she begins to travel to a new place. The terrifying thriller "The Grudge 2" explores the dark secrets of the grudge as the terrifying supernatural curse is unleashed on a group of seemingly unrelated victims. One by one, they are infected by the grudge, which quickly moves from a burned-down house in Tokyo and spreads to everyone who crosses its path.
Rating: B+ Since it is the much-anticipated sequel to the 2004 worldwide hit "The Grudge," this film could be another great hit or could be a bed sequel like other films.
That's all for At the Cinema. Check Monday to see the Box Office Smash for the weekend of Oct. Friday the 13th, 2006.

I saw The Marine and it was good but I didn't expect to be in sixth place. That movie should have done a better job like Jarhead last year. Nice reviews there GeneralMBison. Keep up the good work.

I saw The Marine and it was good but I didn't expect to be in sixth place. That movie should have done a better job like Jarhead last year. Nice reviews there GeneralMBison. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the comment there, master-fu. Well today is DVDay and I for you 4 reviews which includes, Over the Hedge, The Omen, Feast, and Hulk Hogan - The Ultimate Anthology. Here are the reviews: Rent, Buy, AvoidOver the Hedge: Rent or/and Avoid (Another film that joins the list of cartoons movies that are animated such as Barnyard, The Wild, and etc. The movie has almost the same stuff as the other films. The film is great for kids 10 years and younger but not some good for the ones that have seen the other films before this one.) The Omen: Rent (On 6/6/06, we saw the signs everywhere that Armageddon was coming but nothing happened expect it was the 62th anniversary of D-Day and the remake of The Omen came out. It's the same thing as the 1976 version, so expect the same thing from it. This is a rent since so of you have seen the 1976 version and the 2006 version is the same thing. Expect remakes the same thing as the originals.) Feast: Buy (Directed by Project Greenlight winner and first time filmmaker John Gulager, "Feast" is the terrifying tale of a motley crew of strangers who find themselves trapped in an isolated tavern and must band together in a battle for survival against a family of flesh-hungry creatures. This film came out in Sept. 22 to 23 only in the late night hours and now it has come to DVD at the right time. This film is good for any horror fans and the ones who are looking for any new movies to watch on Halloween.) Hulk Hogan - The Ultimate Anthology: Buy (This 3-disc and 4-disc{sold only in Wal-Mart} editions of this film is great for any Hulkamanics. The collection contains over 540 minutes of classic matches, and the wrestling career of one of the most famous wrestlers of all time. As I said this collection is a buy for any wrestling watchers and fans of it.) That's all for today. Check Friday to see At the Cinema, where I preview Flags of our Fathers, The Prestige, and other films.

Here is a special At the Cinema for the weekend of Oct. 20, 2006. Today I have four previews to give out including a World War II film. They are: Flags of our Fathers, Flicka, Marie Antoinette, and The Prestige. Let's get started.
Flags of our Fathers: A film directed by Clint Eastwood, the story tells about the Battle of Iwo Jima and famous flag rising on Mt. Suribachi by 5 Marines and 1 Navy sailor. The story then continues after the famous part with three of the 6 men surviving the battle and fighting in other battles in the United States. A great war film just like Saving Private Ryan and Pearl Harbor but the question is this: can it beat The Grudge 2 for the top spot or do we have to wait for the next two Iwo Jima films next year to be number 1: Red Sun & Letters from Iwo Jima.
Rating: A- Another great World War II film and great bloody battles in the film. Great for any WWII fans and any war watchers.
Side note: I just watched the film a few hours ago and I do agree with the preview I gave out about 2 hours before I saw it. The type of the film is almost like Lord of the Rings: Return of the King film. Also this movie is so gory in the war parts of the movie. Which scores a good rating from me. I love a good gory war movie.
Flicka: 16-year-old Katy McLaughlin (Alison Lohman) dreams of fulfilling her family legacy by working on her father's ranch in modern-day Wyoming. But Katy's father (Tim McGraw) wants more for her, insisting that Katy go to college. Katy finds a wild mustang, which she names Flicka, and sets out to make her a riding horse. But Flicka and Katy are more alike than she could have imagined. Like Katy, Flicka has a disdain for authority and is not about to give up her freedom without a fight. Now I don't know what you but, I'm saying that this movie is not so good for any teens that are into other stuff besides PG Drama.
Rating: C- No comment.
Marie Antoinette: Oscar®-winning Sofia Coppola brings to the screen an imaginative interpretation of the life of France's legendary teenage queen Marie Antoinette. When betrothed to King Louis XVI (Jason Schwartzman), the naïve Marie Antoinette (Kirsten Dunst) enters the opulent French court which is steeped in conspiracy and scandal. Without guidance, adrift in a dangerous world, the young girl rebels against the isolated atmosphere at Versailles and becomes France’s most misunderstood monarch.
Rating: B+ A good film of the wife of King Louis XVI's life and the guillotine.
The Prestige: From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) were competitors. However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them. Full of twists and turns, "The Prestige" is set against the backdrop of turn-of-the-century London, the exceptional cast includes two-time Oscar® winner Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson and David Bowie.
Rating: B A good friend vs. friend-turned-rival vs. rival film with magic.
Be sure to check the Box Office Smash this Monday to see who is number 1.

Here is today's Box Office Smash for the weekend of Oct. 20, 2006. Here are the results:
1 The Prestige: $14,801,808 2 The Departed: $13,462,256 3 Flags of Our Fathers: $10,245,190 4 Open Season: $8,162,729 5 Flicka: $7,703,551 6 The Grudge 2: $7,652,791 7 Man of the Year: $6,935,515 8 Marie Antoinette: $5,361,050 9 The Marine: $3,795,160 10 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning: $3,779,829
So I was right on the take down of The Grudge 2, but also wrong that Flags of our Fathers will be first. Instead it is the magic film The Prestiage.
Be sure to check out DVDay as I kick off the MC's Halloweek, where the next seven days is all about horror movies.

My social studies class is offering that if we watch Flags of our fathers in theaters, we get extra credit for writing a report on it. I'll probally do it cuz I could use the extra credit and it's a good excuse for my parents to take me to the movies.

Today is the official kickoff of the MC's Halloweek. Today is DVDay and today I only review the newest horror movies that came out today and review some of the famous horror movies. Let's begin!
Rent, Buy, Avoid
Slither: Buy (Another great horror/comedy movie just in time for Halloween. These nasty big rad worms have invaded a small town and are making the people into mindless zombies. A great movie for your collection like Shaun of the Dead.)
An American Haunting: Rent, if you like it then Buy (Based on a true story. The city of Adams, Tennessee is haunted by evil supernaturals that won't stop bugging the people. A good film to rent for Halloween and if you like then buy it.)
Nacho Libre: Buy (The director of Napoleon Dynamite does it again. This time with Jack Black. Jack is Nacho, a Mexican preist who wants to become a luchador, wrestler. With his sidekick helping him, Nacho trains hard to do his best. A great comedy of pure funniness.)
Shaun of the Dead: Buy (If you are looking for a comedy film to rest from all that screaming from horror movies, then this the one for you. It still supports the horror parts in it but turns it to good insane comedy. A great British movie to own in your collection.)
Halloween: Buy (A famous horror for everyone that remebers Michael Myers. He has escape from a mental hospital, and wants to kill his younger sister on Halloween. The classic scary movie slasher film is a great film to add to your collection.)
The Exorcist: Buy (One of the scariest movies of all time is great to own and to watch on Halloween. The story is simple, a demon posses a child and crazy stuff begins to happen. This one should be the last movie to watch on your Halloween collections on Hallowwen night.)
That's all for DVDay. Be sure to check Thursday as I bring in a new section to the Movie Crew. And the Top 50 Horror Films countdown begins.
