Mario Party Wild World

That's right I said it. Mario Party is coming to Animal crossing: Wild World. When these two collide you can be sure that it's going to be on hell of a party!

Right now I'm in the process of turning my town, Lunevale, in to a party town, a Mario Party town that is. I've got several mini games planned out, most of the textures that I'd need, as well most of the costume pieces I need.

There will be three characters you can play as: Mario Luigi, and Princess Peach. (You'll need to pay a costume rental fee)

As of right now there a ten mini games that you can play that cover the whole town. Some involve team work and others that involve regular everyday animal crossing events.

To play (once it's finished) all you will need to do is bring the proper fees, a fishing rod, a shovel, a net, and an axe or two (i plan to have extras in cause of breakage, for a fee of coarse)

Mini games include: the 5 minute fishing derby and bug hunt, the Pitfall Run, Buried Treasure, and many more.

Who know maybe this will start a trend and more maps will develop in other towns, turning it into a Mario Party circuit!

oh man i already made a mario or luigi(i dont remember which) costume before i heard of this. i got the mustache, hat, and shirt!

Wow this sounds like a really fun idea! Are all the spots full? Will you be doing this more than once? I'll be peach!! I always play as her in Mario Party games anyways!

Try contacting Vasper and ask him. I think he might have lost this website. If I see him on NG I'll ask him. Till then try not to post spam aksing when he'll be back. Just be paitent and wait till he returns and give us an answer.

DAT DAT DAA d` !!! I'm finally back!

Sorry I've been gone so long I've had loads of plans in the real world.

I've been doing a bit of work on the game (board tiles) I've got almost all of them done, and I just need to do the games tiles <.< >.> then I'll be close to finishing it to play able quality.

Yes I will be having more then just the one round. But it's only one round per visit due to the set up of the games, some woulf need time to be re-created.

I plan on having prizes but are as of now unsure as to what they would be.

Fine with me. As long as it isn't in the next week and 3 days I am still in. Yeah I am going to florida so if you plan on having it between the 20th-31st I will probly be unable to attend. Sorry. Otherwise I am glad you're back.

Excellent you're back. There are 3 people who have joined, and one wanting to join. When is it going to be held?

This may seem like a long time but I think the first match will be held some time in early August. I've got lots of plans for the rest of the month and still have to do work on the map, games, and costumes so i'll try and have it done asap, but more than likely that will be in August, but if i do get it done before that I will definately let you know.

And to keep the disscussion open let me now if you have any idea for mini-games, prizes, or even maps of your own!

Early August? Good. A Nintendo Power mag had this idea and they had a couple of games in there you could do. You might want to check that out. Also may I ask what the sort of "Theme" is? I'm wondering about it. I would do this but I'm really lazy. I do have to stay in a car for 9 hours tomorrow though so I might come on with something. There are also a lot of trees in my town. Meh, oh well. Those damn environmentalist in my town can go screw themselves.

Well there isn't quite a theme to the board just the basics of Mario Party pulled into AC:WW. I've got that issue of Nintendo Power btw but I just can't seem to find it at the moment. I know it had a good patteren that I wanted to use. You could just try making your own blue, red, and other spaces...trees are good for game setups, but you have to plant them right. Hence why game setup takes a while.

Not to go off topic, but Vasper plz check your PMs.

I know of one minigame you could have. A lottery of sorts.
You bury certain items, then let people dig up only one.
If they get a certain item, they win a certain prize.
Ex:Golden tool=10,000 bells
piece of furniture=5,000
regular tool=1,000
trash/other worthless junk=try again

That's one way of doing it. Also, you'll need some rules to set down. Not just for the game, but for entry fees, rental fees, etc. You need to give people easy to understand rules on how much each thing will cost, and how each thing will work.

Well I'll work out the fees after I figure out how many each round will cost me plus prizes. I'll set out the rules for each mini game after I figure out which ones I can and cannot do for sure. I've already got a game like that one thought up.

(some games I will also play in. such as team games, and some can be modified to be 2 vs 1 games)

The games I have so far are:

A short fishing contest, and bug catching contest simple enough to understand catch the most or the most expensive.

I have an obstical coarse (basically first to the finish wins), with Pitfalls and other things to slow you down.

A game I call "Dig and Bury" where people are on teams and work together, one team digs holes and the other fills them in, all within an enclosed area. Which ever team has thea most of their spots wins the game.

Another game called "Tree Choppers" (again a team game) where each team has a line of tree which they have to chop down, dig up the stumps and then fill in the holes first team done wins.

"Tree Shakers" where each player has to shake the fruit out of trees and bring the fruit back to there drop spot. But some trees don't give out as much fruit as you might think <.< >.>

A small X + O game played with fruit. Basically a quick tourny and the champ wins.

"Buried Treasure" Like the game described above with fake pitfalls, garbage, and Bell prizes. Four pitfalls each player digs at only one the one with the best prize wins. (I will not be playing this one)

There are a couple other game that I still have to work the bugs out of.

But so far that's what I've got.

As for the actual game each player comes with the the exact amount of money they need. Then once they've emptied their pockets they recieve 10 bells. and every game they win they get 10 more bells, and again just like Mario Party every blue space gains you 3 bells and every red space loses you 3. I will control each players bell count to make sure that there is no cheating and/or that anyone steals. Fees will be mildly high only to again deter the act of stealing, but they will be partically refunded. (I'd still like to make a decent amount of bells here people)

I think that about covers everything I'm still working out the Dice rolling and star parts and hopefully people will really enjoy playing the game once I get it started.
