Yeah, that whole "not playing flash" thing pisses me off  But at least I can still come here or the NG BBS and make posts.  We don't know yet if they'll be able to play flashes. maybe newgrounds will make special ones we can play like for the psp |

I doubt it will be able to play flash based media. Firstly, Adobe would have to tailor a proprietry browser plugin for the DS hardware. Secondly, flash media is pretty processor intensive...I'm not sure how the DS's 66Mhz processor would handle some of the flash you see today on Newgrounds. Thirdly, the WiFi connection has pretty limited bandwidth. Fourthly, the DS only has 4 megs of ram...part of which will be occupied by the OS, browser, and any media you're currently viewing. Unless they can develop some funky way of streaming flash content, then it's just isn't going to be feasible to view a flash anywhere over 2 or 3 megs. Just remember, the DS was initially designed to play games. Not browse the web  |

is this the new internet thing for the ds? if it is the u can search the webs for only$30(thats how much the game wii cost). or is this just a rumor and you'll have to buy new hardware for the ds to search the web? you discuss it here it be awesome to cruise the internet on your nintendoDS! I hope DS wont fall behind NintendoWii like GBA is. |

So is there any new news about the DS internet? I think that the DS internet will be out before 2007 is over. So we still got 13 months to go.

Isn't it already out? All I know for sure is that it got a pretty bad review from a lot of sources. The biggest reason being because it moves slow. Slower than Dial up speeds.
Yes it's a disappointment but I'm sure the Wii's browser will be much better.

I believe that the company is going to release it later again but as an advanced version of it, so it can be faster and better since many people now have Broadband or DSL. It sucks that I'm still with Dial-Up. I need to change to DSL so I can challenge anyone in Mario Kart DS and get a Wi-fi connector. |

Wow that slow! That's shocking. I believe that the company is going to release it later again but as an advanced version of it, so it can be faster and better since many people now have Broadband or DSL. The thing is that the DS just doesn't have sufficient processing speed or Ram to allow you to surf the web at any practical speed. It was a nice effort, but most people will just not find it convenient. The Wii's browser should be great though. |

I mean I know it is a novelty to play internet game on the T.V. but I thnik it's really stupid. It takes a while to load, The controls are wayyy harder than the mouse, and you could just move to another place in your house to play it so much better on the computer! I do think it's cool to have but this should be on the bottom of the list for Nintendo to Upgrade. Also, I know it's cool that you can motion sense stuff that usually uses the mouse but It gets really repetitave and hard eventually. |

Actually, flash is a really high priority for any computer that wants to browse the web. Flash isn't all fun and games mai boy. First of all, you can watch movies on it and sometimes some videos use an advanced version of flash to present it. Also, a lot of buttons, website banners, and intros to websites are made in flash and may require an update. I mean for example, look at this site: www.hpregional.org/departments/tech/intro/index.htmlA kid in my school did that for the technology department there. A lot of good websites include features like that. So if people want the full experience out of the wii browser, nintendo should include flash or the ability to download it. |

The Wii's Opera Browser seems better though, the way for navigating sites on the Ds would feel weird to me..I'll just stick with my Nintendo Wii
