Sound effects in Twighlight princess the emmit from the remote (like sword sings or crashing into a wall)..Is it just me or do they go really low quality and shit if you have the wiimote sound level above 1/10? It's not nintendo skimping on speaker money, the sfx in wiisports/pla are great...so why do they suck for zelda? Note: I <3 zelda, greatest game ever, dont think I'm some anti-ninty guy looking for faults sub note: I have tried using both 'motes and got the same results

Um, I dont know, they seemed pretty fine on mine. It takes a bit of getting used to then it just sinks in and sounds pretty good. I had the same thoughts on twilight princess too.

Ya that's the same with me. I was actually amazed at how loud that speaker was! When I first read you had to listen to the laugh that came out of the speaker I thought I would have to hold it to my head to hear it. But it turns out that when I'm in a diffrent room I can still hear it, sometimes even if it's at one!

yeah, I never have the speaker at more than three bars of loudness to get a good level of sounds without cracking and low quality of sounds.

Lol, I don't think it's that important how good the quality of speakers are. I mean, they're meant for little reminders anf cool effexts that add more feeling into the game. I had mine on loud once while playing Zelda and the giggle sound went off when my dad was walking by and he looked at me wierd.
I lol'ed.

I also remember my cousin was playing his file and he got scared when the laugh sound effect came out loud for the first time

First Person Shooter, the problem is some idiots can't seem to get over the little details that actually makes it a real game. They even once called Wii a gimmick, but they really all just fear the change of the Next Gen..

Red steel, how are the controls, ive heard they suck from IGN but ONM says its awesome Thing is, Red stell has this "bounding box" style of aiming. So you have to drag the aiming reticule across the screen to turn the whole screen. I mean, sure it's accurate but it's slow. If you've ever played Goldeneye or Timesplitters 2 you know what I mean. When you hold the R button t oaim you have that targeting reticule but to turn around it's slow. There's really no other way I can explain it. The best thing for you to do is go ahead and rent Redsteel if you have a Wii and see how you like it. I know a lot of people that have said they've gotten passed the awkward/slow controls and had a good time. There's others that haven't enjoyed it that much. So go ahead and try it out wherever you can. To answer your question straight up. The controls aren't terrible, just slow, and to some, awkward. But then again everyone likes their FPS games diffrent.

Slow? Ha! Im pretty fast and very accurate, i find the controls really fluent. But then again im a major fps'er. So yeah. Red steel was made for me, swords, guns, japanese people. All good. And i think the controls are underrated theyre really good. I just completed it.....literally 10 minutes ago !

I don't find the controls really fluid and I'm a major FPS player as well. Getting shot from behind and trying to turn your character around quickly to find the enemy, all while getting shot, isn't too fun. Call of Duty on the other hand had a tighter "bounding box" in which allowed you a control method faster and more like PC fps mouse control that so many gamers covet. Still i'm waiting for Metroid Prime 3 as I heard itf FPS control was by far the best for the Wii. I'm also sorry for the off topic discussion but once you get me started I forget about thigs.

Hey all, Is there any way that I can turn off the sound effects for the late night gaming? Thanks. Just press the Home button and click on the "Wii Mote Settings" on the bottom of the screen.

That's why I lower the speaker volume on the wiimote since if you put it higher, it will waste more of your battery life.
