I came up with a brilliant idea. I wasn't sure if I should make it a thread or PM it to Albert but I decided to make a thread so the people of WT could evaluate the idea as well.
My idea is to have a poster of the week. People could recommend someone they see is doing a good job at posting and someone could search through the people and see who is being a responsible and helpful poster.
Pros? Cons? Likes? Dislikes? Corrections? Suggestions? Anything I missed here? Post it below.

We could keep track of awards given out and people could post rewards recieved in their sigs (If they want to) This hasn't started yet I'm still waiting for some mods to see this and evaluate the idea. It is entirely possible that I wont even be choosing (In fact it is very unlikely I will be unless no one else really wants to take it up)

This idea is good, but once a week causes the award to diminsh in value adn prestige. Perhaps once a month would be better. As for the award itself, DHL, Albert, Nicko9y, and I are most likely to make it. Something small, hell maybe even a userbar like my tree thing.
There are 3 things that must be noted, though...
1)Albert must approve
2)Users must actually want to do this
3)We might do this for a while, but then just move on like it was a fad.
Also, would you have to take it out of your sig after your month is up?

New members would be able to look at your signature and say "Wow. This guy obviously knows what he is doing, I'm going to ask him for help." And since that person is such a model poster I'd be surprised if they didn't comply. We might have to make people put the month the got the prize so people would be able to tell who the winner of the current month is. |
