Oh, and also, WiiTogether.com is not a registered domain, so I'm assuming this is a scam of some sort. And even if it's not a scam, it's still advertising. Not only advertising, but advertising something nobody will purchase.

Actually you are both wrong. The domain is still registered in my name but is at the moment in what is known as "redemption stage" That is because I have not renewed the domain as yet and if I dont do so before the redemption period expires then the domain will be released back into the normal available names pool. That is why I wanted to see if you would want the name for yourselves. In fact having a .com is the ultimate version of any name. I dont understand why you guys chose to use the pro-boards for your forum. You could have created the .com version and access would have been far easier. It is certainly much shorter if you need to type it into your browser bar. Or maybe you did consider to register the .com version originally but since I had already registered it you were forced to resort to the pro-board version not wanting to spend any $$$ on buying the name. Anyway guys...if you want the .com version here is good news. I dont think I will be renewing the name again so when it become available you need to be quick and try and grab it before someone else does. In the domain name game there is something known as Drop-catching which means that there are seasoned domainers using advanced computer programs to snatch names as they drop and become available again. Good luck and with your forums also. Ps. Wiiality.com is still available if you want. It is still in my name and I will be renewing that one when it comes close to expiring. My domains are registered with Godaddy.com

Well I disagree since i did typed www.wiitogether.com and this what showed me... Also I searched it on both google and yahoo and nothing, so what does that tells me, simple, a cheap slap-in-your-face scam. Plus we are ok with the forum since there hasn't been much activity in here after much of the members just left so if we had the site it would bring more people but it would just be another fad that will come and go.

Why thank you, Cartoon Satan. ^_^
Plus who in the right mind would pay $150 just for a domain name for the first month? the highest price that i've seen for a domain name is around $60.

Again..you are all wrong. I took some screenshots to prove that the domain wiitogether.com is in redemption period which means I can re-activate it at any time if I wish to as long as it is before the redemption period expires. I am afraid you need to be a domainer to fully understand all these titbits. Once the redemption period expires then only can anybody else register the domain. Just try and register it now...you will not be able to because I still have the right to rescind the redemption period. Anyway here are 2 screenshots to prove my point: i30.tinypic.com/iqk8d0.jpgi32.tinypic.com/14ijrqd.jpgAnd for those of you who obviously know zilch about the value of domain names have a look at this link to see what prices domains are fetching on the aftermarket. www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htmTrue...wiitogether.com might not be worth much..that is why I only asked for $150. Consider that I owned the domain for 3 years already..that's 3x $8-50 registration fee and you will see that it is not as if I am making a killing at all. In fact it is no skin of my nose as to me the domain is quite worthless and I dont mind letting it expire and loose my 3 years registration fee. I have other domains in my portfolio which are worth thousands and have sold domains in the past for thousands. So this is chickenfeed bro's. So dont stress yourselves trying to conjure up images of scams....ha ha ha ..really..how absurd..for $150...cheapskates.

Your offer has been acknowledged. And I appreciate your thought.
But to be completly honest the reason why I didn't bother to look into this further or humour you is simply because I personally don't find the 150$ to be worth the registration.
Before you get upset, understand this.
Wii Together as it is now, is a small but humble community. Although yes I have aspirations still that it grows into something larger, my hopes are now more realistic. I don't wish that this forum may soon become another "ign boards" or "Newgrounds. I'm quite content with the few of us that have come to know each other and call each other friends. In fact the small dramas and events that have occured seem to have only purified, when put nicely, the site to the core.
Sure we could end up with 150 active users, but how much of that would be reduced in qulaity? Of course this is just me speaking out loud, I've litterly got 10 till I go to work and I don't have time to d my my usual revising and nit picking to make sure my speech is wel put.
But this is just core thought and emotion currently. I really do appreciate your offer, and I never dirrectly called you a "scam artist" or a "liar" Sorry if you felt attacked.
But plain and simply even knowing that this is legit, I don't find it worth the value. Oh and careful not to insult my members. As the site administrator the choice is mine to deny, this time. I know they care.
Maybe in a year or a few months when I'm back on track and focused on making the Wii Together Community evlole into something else.
But plain and simply, I don;t have that focus right now. Right now it's just our little forum that still gets some new members once in a while. And it's our little forum where we will gladly and gleefully discuss games and trade friend codes for them.
Ah, late for work.
Thanks again.

Of course I am not upset and I understand excactly what you are saying. I will just let wiitogether.com expire and maybe if you want it still at some later stage you can just go and register it yourselve if it's still available. Really it's not a blow not to sell it. I actually registered the domain initially together with a dozen or so other WII related domains soon after WII was announced by Nintendo. 5 of those I have sold since then and the others I have let expire as I will do with WiiTogether.com. I am keeping 1 still Wiiality.com as I think it might have some allure for someone further down the road at some stage providing Wii remains relevant in gaming. The way things are moving to virtual worlds in gaming it might just be. Regards to you and your members here Albert and good luck and lots of fun on your forum. Regards fred

i always thought albert put this site on the proboards because its a quick way to setup a forum. its like buying a hotdog stand intstead of buying some land to put a hotdog stand on,if you got the prebuilt one,all you have to do is run it,even though it looks a bit generic, but if you bought the land you have to build the thing before you can even run it.

I hate food analogies when I'm hungry...Damn now I wanna hotdog too! Oh well, it's over now tho. Al said no, so we'll move on. I can't lock this thread for some reason tho, so just leave it be till Al can.
