Sonic, run to end of level get rings done.
Mario, jump on shit, trippy levels get different costumes for upgrade powers, longer games with more things to do and actually a decent story.

Both stories suck actually. "The Princess is kidnapped" Go find the damn Bad Dudes or something. I can't even tell what's going on in the Sonic Universe right now, only every character (excluding Bite the Badger) is becoming emo. What, wanna save animals from Robotnik? Call PETA.

to be honest i think nintendo should try something different with their characters, not just the same shit time and time again. like i dont know mario might have to fend off some off those battle ships and such from super mario 3. and maybe with sonic they could make another sonic the fighters or sonic battle

Sonic Fighter sucked, but I enjoyed Sonic Battle. It was awesome. Nin. should try diffrent things, but the current story prints money...

i actually bought sonic gems collection (filled to the brim with amy ^^) and sonic fighters does suck a little bit, i mean the story is naff "robotnic is preparing his ultimate weapon and only you can stop it, fight for the one seater spaceship" T_T.....so i gotta fight to ride a spaceship. just stick everyone else in the cargo.....and the wankers in the engine room

Wait what? Sonic Fighters had one other bad thing- the characters. The only cool character was Nack. I'll miss that ass. Whatever happened to him? The core fighting system sucked. As for Sonic Shuffle and Sonic R-Type- bad stuff.
That's another Sonic problem- consitency.

i voted for the old sonic,the new sonic is suffering from what i call "teenage mutant ninja turtle syndrome" symptons include:
saying words like awesome,radical,and whatup
a changing appearence that tries to look badass but ends up being stupid
and an overall suckness.
treatment of T.M.N.T.S. is making sonic unleashed for the 360,its like sonic rush with awesome graphics.

i just thought of something, sonic games are all different, you can get better endings from getting things like chaos emeralds and to get them you have to manouver pinball like mazes or halfpipes getting rings or running through an f-zero like track killing ufo's
