Help! I'm not sure what to do! I thought for sure that I would LOVE the Wii! But now I finaly have it... Well i'm just not sure! The Wii dosn't seem to have any "hardcore" games, A game that you can sit down and play for 3 hours strait. Wii needs some shooters, some NORMAL games, I don't want luigis mansoin 2, or pokemon battle revolutoin, super mario galaxy and Super smash bros brawl don't apeal to me! But games like Gears of war, rainbow 6 vegas, and Halo 3 do! I just don't know what to do! Should I sell my Wii? Or try and wait, to see if Wii will get better games? Also, does the xbox 360 look good on a old TV? (an old one like the kind you have to run the console through a VCR just to play?)
plz. help.

I can understand how you feel, there's nothing wrong with liking other systems like Xbox or the PS3 but you should always keep an open mind towards all systems. If you really like a system so much like Xbox 360 but you can't afford it you could always sell other things then your systems but if you really don't feel like your getting a full gaming experience out of your new Wii console then you should probably sell it cause you never know who might want it. I would probably wait until another game comes out like Metroid for the Wii because you never know what games you may really like until you give it a try.

Nintendos games arent very appealing to me anymore, and I beleive there target audience is much younger than that of ps3/xbox360. If I were you id try and return the system (not sure if thats possible, depending on how long you've had it) and later down the line if theres only a few specific games u want from the wii buy it when the price is way down in a few years. Xbox360 seems to be what you're after, they will have all the good fps (the games you named are fps).

By the sound of things it appears that you may have rushed a bit into things. But to sell the Wii now that is in your possession would be foolish. One thing I have Always seen in the Wii is Potential. Perhaps the system does not appeal to you as much as it does to others at its launch.
(Which is weird. RedSteel? Madden? Call of Duty 3? Ring any bells? And if I even have to mention The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as a game directed towards the hardcore crowd than you should probably do a bit of research before proceeding.)
But you should still stick with the Wii in my opinion. When the DS launched, its best game was Mario 64 DS, which was pretty much just a port of a beloved classic. But now it has established ground with both Hardcore Gamers and people that are new to games and just play certain titles. The Wii has so much time to succeed. It already had a good start and with Nintendo's strategy to continue to offer a steady flow of good games and software, the Wii should not be disappointing anytime soon.
And by the way, it might be time for you to start to get into franchises like Mario, Super Smash Brothers, and Metroid. They might not appeal to you now, but there is a reason why those games are so hyped up. They are all great games I assure you.
There is no reason to consider getting rid of the Wii. The Wii is the type of console that compliments other systems rather than replaces them completely. Consider that you can still enjoy games on another console, for example the Xbox360, and have an immersive, fun, (yes even for the Harcore crowd) and refreshing experience on the Wii as well.

Sorry for not replying for so long, I was just in a "Z0mg! 360 pWn4g3!" phase, see, my dad was shopping for a new digital camera (he's sort of a photographer) and we were in best buy for 3 hours (yes, 3 hours, it's not a typo) pretty much all I did was play the 360 and PS3, I was playing the games marveling their awesome visuals thinking of "how cool that would be to have" I guess I felt that I was somehow missing out on gaming. Of course after sleeping on it, I decided the best course of action is to keep my Wii, and if there really aren't any games I want to get/rent for a while, I'll either pick up a few GC titles i missed (I had the original GC, but never got around to games like Beyong good and Evil, either pikmin games, or the Tales of Phantacantspellit game.) If I run out of gaming goodness on both Wii and the GC titles I missed, I may pick up a PS2, since I had a GC and Xbox, and pretty much exhausted all the games on those systems. Do any of you guys have a PS2? If so can you recomend some good games? I always got my games several years after they came out, when they were only like $15, so I'm pretty new to the whole "buy games when they come out" front. I'm finding online rental sites like gamefly and gameznflix invaluable, since it lets me rent as many games I want a month, for the blockbuster rental price of 1 game for 2 weeks...

I own a PS2, lemme tell you some of my favorite games. Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts II (PLAY THE FIRST ONE FIRST, THIS GAME MAY BE MADE BY SQUARE, BUT IT'S NOT LIKE FINAL FANTASY IN THAT WAY) Pretty much any Tony Hawk game RPG Maker (2 or 3, if you can find a copy 1 is best, but you'll also need a PS1 memory card to play 1.) Wild Arms: Altercode F Wild Arms 4 Zatch Bell: Mamodo Fury Okami Okage: Shadow King Lego Star Wars Lego Star Wars II Ephimeral Phantasia Tales of Legendia Guitar Hero DDR games are good Eye Toy is fun too There's more, but i think that's enough for one post

To be honest I've never even seen a game on an HDTV so I really don't know what good graphics look like. But if you want a good game for either xbox or ps2 then I would suggest Destroy All Humans 1 & 2 and play one first or it will be alot harder.

Just as an extra add in about the PS2, Guidtar Hero 2 is an awsome game to get. I told this one kid that had a PS2 and wasn't that much of a gamer about it and he loved the sound of it and he's getting in now for x-mas. Playing a guidtar on video games are so fun. =P

The only difference between HD and standard tv's or projector tv's are the pixels are brighter. Of course it is not like the system is connected with an HDMI connector. I still see shadowing in dark rooms with my HD as you would with any tv. It is nothing impressive. Sure there are persons who like having more aggressive games, but there are a lot to offer with games like metroid, zelda and the mario series. I am what you would call an old timer with these series and I would not change systems unless they came with. Sure I have played other systems too but Nintendo has been opening the doors of possibilities that other systems integrate.

I don't know why, but ever since I first played the SNES I've been attached to Nintendo since. Out of all the other games I could have gotten, I always get my fav Nintendo stuff first. To truly understand this you have to find a game you can just pick up and play. Even if you've played it 1,000 times. That's why I like nintendo. True they have thier ups(N64,Wii) and thier downs(Virtual Boy, lack of 3rd party games on GC), but it's the good that out wieghs the bad. ;D

HD is high definition wich means there are more pixels on the screen wich will create a better quality picture
