Did you know, the Pacific ocean is Saltier than the Atlantic ocean?

Did you know, out of all living creatures, Giant Squids have the biggest eyes? (They're bigger than Dinner Plates!)

Did you know, Tacos, Burritos, and such aren't Mexican food? They're Tex-Mex! A mixture of Mexican and Texan cuisine.

Here is my most favorite random fact:

Hitler was part Jewish and he had one testicle.

And here are a few others:

Tooth brush bristles used to be made out of Hog hair until after WWII.

When toilet paper was first invented, not many people used it because they would sometimes have splinters in them. *ouch*

The steam engine was actually first invented by the Romans, but wasn't seen to be of great interest because it's inventor used the moving steam engine thing to entertain litte children, not to move pistins or anything. (stupid romans, lol)

There was actually a battle fought on american soil in WWII. (other than Pearl Harbor) It was fought in Alaska when the Japinisse attempted to invade from the north.

People used to wear those big white wigs in the past because they had no running water to wash their hair.

Durring WWII, the Japs invented a death ray using microwaves (not the appliance). It was tested and made effective, but due to the weapon using a large amount of energy for even a short use, the project was abandoned.

Thats all I can think of now. Wow, I have a lot from WWII, lol.

Also did you know that there was a Battle of Los Angeles in WWII? It's very true!! No lie. A U.S. Navy ship launched a missile at a Japanese sub 15 miles away from the shores of LA. The sub got a little of damage and launched a missile of their own and missed the ship. A 2nd missile was launched from the ship and sunk the sub. Since then the people called it the Battle of Los Angeles even though the battle took place 15 miles away from it.

In a disney ride the mist makes the word styx in honor of the band. Don't remember which ride though.

I've got one, during Aladdin, when they're on the carpet, they fly through something and a bunch of sparkly dust flies across the screen, if you look closely at that dust, you can see the word 'Sex'

Also, in a different disney movie (don't remember which) it slips the phrase "Hate your parents" into a song at such a strange frequency, that your brain picks it up without realizing it.

OMG!! I don't like to double post but this is to big not to! Most of you probably think that an animated Disney movie would never feature nudity. Well, if so, then most of you would be wrong (I include myself in that group). It's been said fore awhile now that a topless woman can be seen in a background shot in The Rescuers. True or false? True of false? Hmm ... TRUE!

In January of 1999, Disney had to recall 3.4 million copies of The Rescuers because someone slipped images of a topless woman into the film. A little under 40 minutes in, Bernard and Bianca are flying through the city on Orville's back. In the window of a building in the background, the photographic image of a topless woman is seen. Now, by "seen," I mean you have to view the film frame by frame, and in doing so, you'd see the image appear in two consecutive frames.

Disney claims that the scenes had been present in the movie from its original theatrical release in the 1970s to the point when the company recalled the videos. Disney also said the images were inserted in post-production, and claimed none of its animators were responsible for them.

It's interesting to note that Disney itself announced the recall prior to anyone really finding out about the images. Cynics suggest it was Disney's way of moving copies off of store shelves due to people wanting to see what the "objectional" material was all about. Of course, if you believe in Disney's mission statement, then you know the recall was merely to protect our children. You trust and rely on Disney to provide the finest in family entertainment. Am I right?
