i recently received Fallout 3,A game known by most faggots as "Oblivion with guns".
Well let me discuss how i feel about the game.
1.Yeah,you move the same in oblivion,the facial animations are just as robotic(I thought you bitches were using the havok engine,where's my lifelike facial movements like in half-life 2?).And if you're using a melee weapon,you will probably start to get an oblivion deja-vu feeling.But still,it has plenty of redeeming qualities,and anyone who says it's oblivion with guns either hasn't played it or is still mad the fallout 3 didn't utilize the same gameplay style as 1 and 2.
2.It is freaking huge,i have no idea how one of the devs beat this game in 45 minutes,because i'm 14 hours in and have yet to even get a 3rd of the way through the main storyline.
3.It's gorier then gears2.yeah you heard me.
4.Unfortunetly,big games like this always have glitches,and not the funny glitches where you're guy floats in the air.these are the bad glitches,like,the game freezing on you causig you to lose an hour of progress.
5.it took me 12 hours to find my dog(you don't have to find him,you just happen to see him fighting a mutant,and if you want you can rescue him and ask him to join you).He has a lot of health,so he won' die easy,plus he regenerates health.But he's retarded,REALLY retarded,one time i saw a mine,snuck up to it to disarm it,and my dog ran up and detonated it,alerting the nearby super brute.Then another times i was throwing grenades at a guy in VATS,and my dog runs up and gets damaged by the grenades.fucking idiot.
6.this game takes features that were shown off in games like fable 2 and mass effect,and makes them so amazing and far better then the games that came up with the idea.
Like in fable,where being good or evil changed the opinion of the people around you,but since the characters were all the same boring british stereotypes,you didn't give a damn about their opinions.
In fallout 3,the characters always seem overjoyed to see you in town,and thank you for disabling the ticking time bomb that could have killed them at anytime.Characters also interact with each other,take seats at the bar and get a drink,and yell at you for mischievously eying the locked door to the armory,saying "Hey,don't get any ideas,that door's locked for a reason!"
Then how in mass effect,you could every now and then use your tech skill to open a door or disable some enemies.While in fallout 3,your choices are nearly endless.
If there's a locked door,you could :
A.Pick the lock
B.Hack the computer terminal to open the door
C.Fight through the enemies until you find the one that has the key
This kind of thing happens so often too,like when i had the option to turn on the security turrets,which would then erradicate the nearby enemies so i didn't have to deal with them.
7.What i did find very annoying about this game,is that they made the first person shooting very inaccurate,as if to make people always want to use VATS instead.The 3rd person animation is very bad as well,your character just sort of glides across the ground,while making a very unconvincing jogging animation.
So what do you guys think,have you bought this game yet?
