alright knobjocks ive played this thing through to the end, and the verdict: its a good rpg but some things have disgusted me (lets get the obvious one out the way) I NEVER GOT TO SEE THE ACTION, FUCK YOU BIOWARE, ok so the deal goes that if your nice to amy she'll start saying things, the 1st at some point in the 1st half of the game that she really likes the attention your giving her and she appreciates it (not bad so far) and then before taking on the final alien stronghold she tells you even more compelling stuff and that once your done saving the universe that she'd like to go out with you (THE FUCKING JACKPOT GET IN) A BIT POINTLESS THAT WHEN YOU GET BACK TO YOUR OWN WORLD THINGS ARE FUCKED UP BEYOND BELIEF AND YOU HAVE TO SAVE YOUR FUCKING WORLD, ARRRRRGGGHHHHHH, MORE BULLSHIT *breathes* oh boy, wheres the tailonel

ok now lets start this thing from scratch, this is the sonic chronicles review entitled: latimers done the dark brotherhood

first off the title is based on the sinister relationship 2 tribes of echidnas that have been having this ancient war that ends up with knuckles tribe being wiped out by chaos and the other being sent to this other dimension prison thing for being too evil. now for some reason theyve got the stength to break through the barrier, kick the crap out of tails and knuckles and give the defence soldiers hell. so tails calls in captain blue to give them a hand and bring them down, halfway eggman gives you a ship and sends you after them in the next dimension, leaving him behind (sonic x tried a galactic conquest and it didnt work then but worked now since theres no humans in there, also dont fucking go on a trip leaving the villain at advantage, thats all im saying).

thats the story done now lets talk gameplay, its a standard rpg with attack, defence,item and special move usage, total playable characters are sonic, tails, knuckles,amy,cream,big,shadow,rouge,omega,eggman and an evil echidna called shade. the special moves here are called POW moves and instead of magic and stuff their character exclusive like tails and eggman having advantage against machines and rouge and shade having stealth functions, whats interesting is that theres mulit characters moves meaing that mp will be used by both players but the attack is incredible, my favourite is the one between sonic and shadow where they spin round really fast causing awesome lightning damage. these moves are all executed with special touch screen events causing you to tap, tap really fast and drag the stylus around, great idea but not good for the portable trip on a bus. outside of battle you move around like in phantom hourglass and to get across certain areas you need a certain character out to perform an action whether its dashing across a gap or breaking boxes, ok but you may have to bring a weak character around to get by, you can buy and sell items and armor but you need rings of course, and theres barely any rings on each stage and to get by you need to sell some useless 1 battle only items. in battle to run away you have to beat a little mini game where you have to jump over boxes and run over dash boards to go faster, hitting the boxes (or chaos bubbles) will cause you damage and slow you down meaning the enemy may catch you, but a problem i had was that it was hard to concentrate and the characters were close together so running away and chasing enemies was a pain.

summary: its a brill game i must say i just have some comments, make rings space out more, theres only like 80 rings in one sector and items may cost 125 rings a piece. make the game longer, when you dimension hop your enemies are alien races which are ridiculous because they have armor (and few moves armor pierce), recover all health from an absorb attack or are just insanely strong so a little more lenght wouldve spaced out the hard battles getting used to the space your in. make a better end boss battle, the super sonic battle is disgusting as your health reads "?" meaning your invincible and each attack you do deals 797 damage (major overkill since the hardest boss had only 1500 health) put in more replay value, after the end it just puts you back at the start with all your abilities.....what i like about most rpgs is that after you beat the game you can train more and battle the really hard bosses for whatever theyve got, in sonic chronic theres nothing, just right back at the start

.......and last but not least: DONT FUCK WITH ME LIKE THAT AGAIN SEGA, YOU PROMISED ME ROMANCE BUT GAVE ME A CLIFFHANGER, FUCK WITH ME LIKE THAT AGAIN AND ITS BANKRUPCY TIME
