I took the liberty of removing the clone characters of course.
I liked Meta Knight because everything he does is so unique and powerful.
My second choice would be Sonic, because he doesn't feel gimmicky like I thought he would (considering he was developed and placed in the game rather quickly).

jk, everyone knows everything.
I know Meta Knight's pretty sweet and all, but I wouldn't really call him powerful.
Either way, I really dig DeDeDe. I almost committed dededecide the other day and isnteadstill killed my opponetnt while I reached the ledge safely. His Tilts are powerful and relatively fast, he can chaingrab, and I love his crouch, it's like a taunt in its own.

Wario, come on he can eat people and make fart explosions. Fast and powerful to. Too bad i'll have to wait abit until I get my own copy.

In my personal opinion, Sonic is best. He's especially good for running up and snagging the smash ball just as your opponent is about to land the final blow.
Meta Knight is a close second though.
I mostly use Sonic, but on stages without room to run (Hanenbow comes to mind..) I'll use Meta Knight instead.

ikes my favorite,lucario is pretty badass(for a pokemon) but i killed someone who had 0% damage using eruption,and aether is good for breaking an already weakened smash ball.oh and im pretty sure its pronounced ay-ther but the game thinks its ee-ther,i think its one of those tomato tomata words.

It was a toughy but Ike just barely beats snake. Ike is pretty slow, and I'm usually more of a Speed Pwn's kinda guy but aether and eruption more then makes up for it. His smash attack owns and when it come down to it, he's better then Roy. I can't believe I just said that.

Ike for the win baby. There's nothing like having a 99 stock melee with Ike versus Lucario, Dedede, and Bowser all on lv 9.
What a glorious 3 hours it was...

I guess Pit would be my favorite new comer. I like his "HAYEYEYAH!!!" thing with the swirling knife-like stick. I also love his recovery, the guy flies forever! Ike is my second favorite new comer because he reminds me so much of Roy, who was my favorite in Melee. Ike would be my favorite if only he was a little faster...I can't stand slow characters. I am very disappointed that they took Roy out of Brawl, but between Marth, Ike, and Pit I guess I have enough characters I can play okay as... :/
